In the May 2013 issue of top gear their comparo for this month is Rio 1.4 Hatch vs Accent 1.6 CRDI
I wont mention who won (I wont spoil)but there appears to be something wrong

They Claim the Rio gets 9km/L in the city
The Accent get a more believable 12km/L in the city

Is this a joke or has the Rio fc problems been fixed?

Head to head comparison? Syempre talo RIO. Pinagtapat nila GAS vs DIESEL, AT sa MT... Tama ba naman yun?

Tama claim nila na 9km/L sa RIO.. Actually it's 6-9... Ako kasi 7, literal na City driving, Binondo traffic.. Still, iyak ako sa FC ng Hatch hahaha

Good news ito.. Yun mga nakaka experience ng engine knock, unahan niyo na service advisor niyo. Para macoordinate din nila sa cac para mas mabilis makarating dito ang ecm upgrade

Hi guys,

Newbie lang ako dito, kakagawa ko lang ng account pero matagal tagal na din akong lurker... I got my Rio 1.4 EX M/T (sedan) as my first owned car last Feb 2013.

So ayun, nababasa ko kasi yung tungkol dyan sa ECM/ECU upgrade. Applicable din ba yan sa rio ko na sedan? Parang mostly kasi ng andito naka Rio HB.

Hanggang ngayon wala pa din akong plate, talaga bang matagal ngayon mag issue ng plate? Actually nawawalan ako ng tiwala sa SA ko, hindi ko alam kung inaasikaso ba or kinakalimutan lang talaga.

Ganito ba talaga ang FC sa city, SA told me mga 12 daw sa city. i need to squeez the neck of that SA.

What's a ECM ? Planning to ge this car soon pero kung ito ang FC sa city eh might change my mind.

Regarding sa FC.

Reliable ba yung stats na nakaindicate sa car? sakin kasi lumalabas 7.7L/100Km, so lumalabas nasa 12.98 Km/ L yung FC ko tama?

Route ko ay from Masinag (pa antipolo) to Mckinley Hill Taguig, C5 ang daan ko.

Usually may ~1km/L discrepancy sa actual figures sir. So mga 11km/L++ yung actual.

Nasa 4200 Km pa lang naitatakbo ko, * 7500 Km ko pa balak dalhin sa casa para sa first check up. Dapat ba talaga abutin ko yung 7500Km? 4 mos na this june yung car eh, may nabasa ako dito na 7500Km or 4 months (whichever comes first) yung unang check up. Yung sa 7500Km nasabihan ako ng SA ko tungkol dun pero yung sa 4 months dito ko lang nabasa.

Ganda naman ng service interval nila. Tuwing 7.5k ang kia? If so, maslow maintenance pa sila sa honda and mitsu. I hope its durable enough though para mapanindigan pagiging low maintenance. Natutuwa ako sa sedan ang ganda ng itsura.

i noticed that if itravel short distances or less than 15min drives, mas mataas ang fc ko compared to 30min drives. strange. btw, davao city area ko.
