Mga sirs just wanted to ask what brand and where could I buy white bulbs (not HID) for Sportage's headlights. Gusto ko kasi ibagay sa DRL na puti.

    TIA

Sa aliexpress ko nabili sir. Sabi ng seller 5-7 days daw yung expected delivery. Sa jazz ko dati with medium-dark solargard tint, clear yung "HUD" (phone with HUD app) pag nilagay ko sa may dashboard.

I'll try using my HUD app tomorrow sa Sportage. Hopefully malinaw kahit in bright daylight. Mas light kasi yung shade ng Huper Optik tint na pinalagay ko.

Where is the best place to have our Sportage serviced? Lapit na ako mag 7500km... 1st time ko to bring Sportage for its first PMS...

FC: Taguig to last exit on SCTEX (Tarlac)... based on trip meter... left around 6am...a little traffic in metro manila (near ateneo; near tandang sora)... 8.7km/100liters so around 11.49km/liter nlex speed around 100km/hr.

Sir question nga pala regarding your add-on alarm... Code Alarm 3051 diba? Gumagana pa rin ba yung middle button (unlock trunk only) after mo pinakabit?

When Whiteysporty and I had ours installed at Ride for Fun in Alabang, hindi siya gumagana at first. I brought it back, and they figured it out. So now I can open the trunk with the middle button even while the alarm is still armed and active. But the problem is that when you close it again, the alarm is trigerred because the shock sensor senses the vibration/impact. I tried reducing the sensitivity of the sensor but at the point where I could close the trunk without trigerring the shock sensor, masyado namang mababa ang sensitvity to the point that I was already banging on the windows and panels, hindi pa din nag-aalarm.

I got the Code Alarm as extra protection since the stock alarm system only covers intrusion (opening of doors). A common style of robbers kasi nowadays is to break the window and just grab the bag without opening the doors. So hindi na nag-aalarm kahit nanakawan ka. I wanted protection against this. But if I lowered the sensitivity to the point that I could open/close the trunk without setting it off, I lose this protection. So I decided I'd just use the main UNLOCK/DISARM button when opening the trunk. Not an issue actually.

Another thing I did was to remove the arm/disarm chirps evrytime the remote is pressed. I was initially happy about having them since I had actual auditory confirmation that I had locked the unit. Whereas before I had to double-check and press twice just to make sure. But the chirps sound exactly like that of Viper, and is loud and can be annoying or disturbing esp at night in the garage. So I changed a dip switch setting to deactivate the chirps

Thanks doc! I guess I'd really have to give up the middle button if I want to upgrade the alarm. hehe.

sa mga owners ng Sportage CRDi, how often is the servicing? is it the same as Hyundai diesels na every 3 months or 5,000km, whichever comes first?

Hmm, interesting. What's the product brand and name ulet sir? and how much is the damage in your case? I do feel the standard alarm is lacking

Every 5,000 kms and Kia Dealers are pressing the every 3 months rule. I don't see this in the owner's manual which clearly states the owner's responsibilities. I'm on my 3rd month and I'm still slightly below 4000 kms. I might go before 5,000 kms though just in case.
