    Would appreciate your comments:
    1. The foot brake has three degrees of intensity?
    2. There's a beeping sound "sometimes" when i turn off the engine and open the door.
    3. On full stop, brakes "seem" not to disengage when released when shift stick is on D already.

I'll check with KIA pasong tamo tom. TIA!

Hope I'm not opening up a can of worms here, and I'm not trying to be sarcastic, pero aside from the peace of mind, how helpful or capable is the 4WD system on the Tucson/Sportage? It's not as hardcore as a Vitara/Jimny coz those have their dedicated transfer cases, but then how big a help is it really? Is it similar to the CR-V's?

The foot brake just like traditional hand brake, you can engage it fully, or just engage it lightly, may be this is what you refer to degree of intensity.

Is the beep sound a reminder for your sunroof left open? Its depend on the setting of the car, our KDM unit beep once when all door are close and lock, several beeps when the smart key is left in the car and lock using the door handle button, no beep when door/sunroof is not close properly.

Your full stop observation may related to the Dynamax 4x4 system, can't comment since mine is 4x2

I agree. It's a small security issue for me, not being able to discreetly keep the engine running without alerting anybody you're inside. Plus di pwedeng stalker mode :badboy:

    1. Are you talking about the number of clicks until it's fully engage? I believe it's 7-8 clicks.
    2. Did you remove the key from the key hole before you opened the door?
    3. Sounds like your brakes are sticking. You maybe need to wear it out a bit, since it's new.

    2. do you mean the remote from the slot inside the consul box? yes i think i turned it off then pulled out the remote from the slot. I'll check tomorrow.
    3. Sticking brakes - nothing major is it?

    thanks again!

Hahaha. Kaming lahat gumagamit nung SF kasi. Yung Tucson most of the time ako lang may gamit.

Anyway, yung sa Tucson / Sportage parang 4WD system lang ng CR-V. Pang inclined terrains lang at better traction. Yan ang pagkaka-alam ko. Hehe.

    1. Sir wahzai_swy explained it better. It works the same way as a handbrake.
    2. Yes, that's right, I meant the remote in the consul box. I forgot you have the AWD.
    3. Maybe I used the wrong word. It's not sticking, but rather the brakes are noisy. They said it's due to the brake pad used. Mine was noisy too in the start. The noise went away in time.

Its not only AWD, may EX and Limited din....Limited AWD ki _roksan_ heavy....

*_roksan_ , you don't have to put your remote in the consul box, just inside your pocket or bag will do. Only time you have to place it in the slot inside the consul box is when you can't start your car due to poor battery inside the remote.

I think you got the immobilizer, its a transmitter inside the remote/smart key working together with the alarm and ECU, when the engine started, it check for the presence of this transmitter, if he can not find any, the vehicle should automatically shut off the engine. But this only happen during starting, when the engine have started and running, even with the smart key taken out far from the vehicle, the engine will not shut down itself.

Haha, people here at tsikot knows more than what they are selling and most important don't tell lies or make empty promises :peace: They can say putting the smart key in the slot will reduce the battery consumption since the transmitter is at nearest to the receiving sensor, but recharging an ordinary Panasonic CR2032 3V cell battery WIRELESSLY??? hard to believe

Hahaha. That's true, because I didn't see any contact point inside that console box for it be charged. In addition, I believe these batteries are non-chargeable by design. What people will say just to make a "sale".
