Whats my sportage's problem kaya? I tried in highway and nakaka 9km/l naman sya. Light lang tapak ko sa gas pero ang baba ng FC ko. Thanks!

Sabi sa casa, ratio 1:8 daw ang 1L/KM daw. Pero mostly sa ka forum natin na sportage 7km/l at least. Thanks!
Kung hindi KDM unit ang sporty mo, i believe ang FC display unit is L/100KM, the compute KM/L just divide the 100KM by the L used, ex: 12L/100KM FC will become 8.33 Km/L.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a 2.0 gasoline engine consuming 5.5 km/L during our heavy traffic with the aircon open during these summer days. Try manual computation also, full tank then ride around 50 or more KM then full tank again, record the distance and gas used to manually compute the FC.

    friends,

Ok ba for PMS ang Kia Pasay? How about Kia Acropolis? Lapit na ko due, tapos parang nagloloko pa gas gauge ko recently, mukhang mag wa warranty claim na rin ako. Minsan umaangat to 3/4 full kahit na kalahati na lang dapat.

Sir I computed it manually, and sometimes umaabot ng 20-22L/100km pag super traffic. City driving, 18-20L/100km.
Mjo malakas sya. Light-footed naman ako. Thanks!

Yung 5-5.5km/l ko city driving and light traffic. Whats wrong with my sporty..

Sir, is your sporty 2WD or AWD? I believe the AWD consumes more gas because of the additional weight. Also, is your sporty brand new? General feedback is FC will get better over time especially after the 1st PMS. Several factors can also affect your FC like weight, tire pressure, etc.

Right now, my FC is around 6 Km/L city driving (I also work nights so the traffic isn't that bad) so I'd think that 5-5.5 Km/L is still a bit realistic.

Good for you bluebeard! naunahan mo pa ako. Nauna yata ako sa iyo to get my unit (feb 8) Mas mabagal siguro ang LTO las Pinas, though I requested for a 3 plate ending so it might be a reason for longer release

    To all,

I've been meaning to ask this and it might be the perfect time. Is there such a thing as "too light footed" for a 2.0 or 2.4 Engine? I understand that one can not normally go to a higher rpm during city driving, due to the slow traffic. I remember, that for better FC, they said to stay below 3000 rpm. Is this still applicable to CUV & SUV too, since the engine has a bigger displacement? TIA.

IMHO, i believe it apply to any displacement, even in city driving, a heavy footed will sure consume more and have poorer FC. Imagine a heavy footed utilizing all the first and second gear then hard stopping as compare to light footed doing easy driving....

I saw the display unit of Kia in MIAS.

    White DLX AWD. Ang ganda.

Isa lang napansin ko sa DLX, walang 400W amp at subwoofer sa likod

*Mikkiw, have you try to compare your manual FC computation with the FC display from our sporty? are they close?

    Sir Wahzai_swy,

I understood what you mean by being a heavy footed driver, but I was wondering if there's such a thing as being too light footed which causes poor FC. I sometimes try to ease on the gas pedal, so that it moves slowly during traffic, maybe around 1000-1500 rpm. I'm now thinking maybe I should increase it to 2000-2500, given that the vehicle's weight is heavier. Do I make sense with my question? (And, yes, I sometimes think too much about it.) LOL!
