If you feel that your acceleration is getting slower and slower and if medyo mausok na ang carens mo, thats the only time you have your egr checked.

Sa mga nakaramdam na ng slower acceleration or mausok sa kanilang Carens at nagpalinis ng EGR, how many thousand kilometers (in what range) usually ito nag-umpisang maramdaman.

Para naman we can start to look out (if EGR needs to be cleaned) if we start to feel the symptoms.

Is it true that according to CAC's new service advisory, our Carens need to have air filter change every PMS?

So far, based on my last PMS(45k), di naman required na palitan yon unless talagang madumi na. Di pinalitan yung sa Carens ko dahil malinis pa. Pero check natin ulit baka nga may bagong memo ang CAC.

Re: EGR cleaning - may labor charge ata ito if i'm not mistaken. May mga nagpalinis ng EGR at nagpa ugrade din ng software sabay.

What Is EGR?
Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is a system that takes exhaust gas from a diesel’s exhaust manifold and reintroduces it into the intake of the engine to reduce the combustion chamber temperature.

Why do modern diesels have EGR? you ask. Basically, EGR is used to reduce the formation of NOx emissions, which are created when the combustion chamber temperature exceeds 2,370 degrees. Pumping exhaust (EGR) back into the engine helps to cool the combustion chamber because EGR has almost no oxygen in it. Without oxygen, the temperature stays below the NOx-producing threshold, and the emissions coming out the tailpipe are cleaner.

Unfortunately, the EGR gasses from a diesel tend to bring a sooty mess with themit’s a lot like cholesterol in your body. That sooty mess tends to gum up the EGR valve, EGR cooler, intake ports, and any sensors that are exposed to it.

sabihin mo sa kanila, "this is total bull-****".... pero actually heavily dependent sya sa dumi ng air-filter....kung sa probinsya normal use eh every 20T km. ok na.... pero kung heavy traffic/usok na Metro Manila....mas mapapadali.... pero frequent cleaning helps though para di naii-stuck yung dumi.

Our carens has been in the casa for a week now, originally thought to be a dirty turbo only. Auto tensioner bearing and idler bearing need to be replaced. Hindi ba talaga ito covered ng warranty? and ano cause ng pagsira?

hindi raw na ayos pag palit ng bearings. papalitan at papabayarin parin ba ako nito? halos 2 weeks na yung kotse namin sa Kia Pasig c/o Edgar, san bang casa maayos din ang gawa? parang walang nangyayari dito eh.

kaya ba diy ang egr cleaning ng carens? Sa carnival j3 engine madali lang ang egr cleaning, may naka diy na ba sa carens? Na pms ako ng carens spent less than 4k change oil, filters, clean brakes and foot brake
