Update lang sa LX CRDI ko:
I had the 1st 1000 kms check-up/ PMS done at Kia Mandaluyong last Friday.
Spent the following: P900 for 6 liters oil, P525 for the oil filter and P12 for the cotton rags. Add the VAT and the total was P1,609.44. Went there at 130pm and was finished by 345pm.
The SA told me that their labor charge for the next 5T kms is at P1.8k.
My tank is nearing empty (591 kms in tripmeter), will give you update once I had it full tank'ed tomorrow.
BTW- had anyone of you install an aftermarket foglights? Where and how much? Will this invalidate the warranty if done outside of authorized Kia dealers?
TIA!

bogart, parehas tayo pricing except that the SA said to me P1,200 daw labor charge nila when i get to 5000kms. parang iba iba ata pricing ah...
siguro mag inquire din ako sa iba. does anybody else have info sa labor charges ng ibang casa?
not sure pero parang P6k ata yung mga foglights sa casa. i think same lamps pero the switch will be mounted sa left side ng dash area. kung saan may mga bakanteng lagayan ng switch.
i didn't want to risk na ma-void warranty kung nagpakabit ako ng horns sa labas so doon ko na rin pinakabit sa kia manda. they charged me P800, P600 sa labor, P200 sa bracket (which i will replace - medyo pangit kasi madalian lang gawa). tapos sa akin pa mga ibang materials like relay, socket, etc...

Hmmm.... medyo nagka-downer ako just now.... I finally talked with the officers in charge of our Company car plan... and they told me that it will be our purchasing department who will choose where to get the car from.... so my negotiations and talks with Kia Libis and Kia Signet (sorry Aldwin!) were useless! Sayang din kasi both dealers offered pretty good deals... Oh well... I hope that my company can get a really good deal on the Carens... and soon! I'm so excited already!!

What?! dats quite puzzling, i paid nothing for my 1st 1000 PMS. D people there told me(KIA ILOILO) dat the 1st PMS is free and will be billed accordingly sa 5t PMS, didnt bother to ask nga lng f hw much. No offense but i think uve been duped
...in my past experiences, d norm is dat d 1st PMS is always free, im just taken aback why u were charged for d 1st PMS. BTW, my unit is a crdi MT, so far so good sa FC, a slight improvement subsequent to the 1st PMS.

I was driving home yesterday along SLEX in my old car and saw a red Carens EX zoom past me. Hehe... I couldn't catch up in the fast-moving but heavy traffic.

January 17th, 2008 09:04 AM #8I had my crdi m/t done two weeks ago when it reach 1000pms in Iloilo, for FREE! We are getting good deals here, Thanks to Mr. Lim of KIA (iloilo). I didn't bother to ask how much it gonna cost on my 5000pms coz i will have it done in kalibo. The road going to Iloilo from Kalibo is pretty bad, sumayad na ako. Mababa kasi ang carens, but it was my choice, i wanted the feel of my old car, with the ammnities of mpv/suv for my small family. So far my only complain is still the the footbrake, nahihirapan ako mag-park pag naka incline...oh how i miss my old car's handbrakes.

Hmmm... I never considered that challenge... Bro Magnusthegreat, do you have a manual or an automatic?
Natutuwa na ako ngayon... when before I hardly ever saw a Carens on the road, nowadays I get to see one or two (this morning, I saw three - a black, an aqua blue and a silver) whenever I drive to and from the office.

Anlakas talaga ng CRDI engine!
110kph at 2000rpm, 140kph at 3000rpm.
This was at Startoll, I really wanted to max the gas pedal but was reminded to take it easy by my wife, 1 toddler, 2 kids & 4 aunts.
