Sir pulldown mo intake mo clean it thoroughly for sure mawawala usok nyan..
good day trooper gurus, this is my first post here. just want to check if anyone ever encountered "check trans" flashing. After changing ATF, I travelled from baguio to manila. The problem started in pangasinan where the "check trans" started to flash and doesnt shift to 5th gear. This is the first time I encountered this in my troop after clocking 189K in odometer. appreciate your inputs in advance

3 liters nilagay nila sa isuzu dagupan, wala namang nakita sa tech 2 na problema. Sorry typo error, parang naka stuck lang sa 3rd gear. kapag umabot na sa 80kph start na mag flash yung check trans, tapos tumataas yung oil preassure. kapag hininto ko then shift to neutral, mawawala ulit. I also noticed na kapag tumataas yung oil preassure sumasabay yung fuel gauge.
sir i doubt kung walang nakita sa tech 2...sabi nga ni benzmizer baka di ganon ka expert magbasa/gumamit ng tech 2 ung technician... try also to check all underhood connections that supply power to the PCM and ignition fuses. Physically and visually inspect all the PCM harness connectors for loose or corroded terminals. Inspect the PCM ground points.
adax, wow 189K mileage... 4jx1 ba makina mo? if yes, nakakabuhay yan ng loob. sana umabot pa trooper ko at that life.
yes sir 4jx1 2001 model, not to mention the injector issue, I am satisfied with 4jx1 performance. Puro long drive and byahe ni troop pero hindi pa kami tumirik kahit minsan. As mentioned in this thread, to beat 4jx1 issues, is to have a regular maintenance and of course use 5w30 and 10w30 only.
ung sa akin 115k pa lang. sa casa pa rin ako nagpapa pms. kung ung lang ang technique to beat fuel injector, then di ko muna ibenta ito...
para sa akin the best to beat the fuel injector use the right grade of oil 10w-30 0r 5w-30 mas maganda kung besco brand parin change fuel filter regularly i change every 10k....change engine coolant regularly rin ang injector kasi ng 4jx1 babad din sa coolant yan aside that it is driven by oil and also to protect the c.head form cavitation na pinagmumulan ng crack sa c.head and para iwas overheat para hindi masira ang mga sleeve oring...
well nandiyan parin ang mga sensors na usually nasisira ORPS , RPCV, TPS, injector harness
sa timing belt and tensioner change before 200k km or 10 years after para maka sigurado...nagpalit ako nung 160k km ok panaman yung pinalitan pero mas maganda na kung safe nasa 180k km na trooper ko 2002 model...
sa a/t tranny change atf din regularly...
and also do the intake manifold cleaning(as in baba intake) mawawala usok and a better fuel consumption...ako pag nag si 6km/l na siya pinapalinis kuna after cleaning nasa 8-9km/l na siya ulit which is better kasi nung mga brand new ang mga trooper ang alala ko nasa 9-10km/l ito...

bakit every 10km pms mo?
mine is every 5km.
ang mga napalitan sa akin last month lang : TPS, RPS, MAF sensor, injector harness. pinatech 2 ko dahil balak ko nga ibenta. nirecomend din nila papalitan intake & outake radiator hose kasa pinapalitan ko na rin para daw di magoverheat pag bumigay . so lahat ng nirecommend pati mga ball joint, wheel bearing, palit din.
iniinsist talaga ni misis na ibenta ko...
natatakot sa cost ng fuel injector...

10k km palit fuel filter sir. Try to drain your fuel tank every 6 months din, not necessarily i drain nyo lahat yung laman ako pinapatulo ko lang yung tubig, kapag diesel na lalabas sasarado ko na. Recently, I changed fuel filter twice due to water in fuel filter, nagflash yung alarm. Before that, nagpakarga ko sa ndi kilalang gas station, no choice kasi nasa bundok kami ayun almost 2 liters yung na drain ko na tubig mula sa tangke at fuel filter.
sayang din benta yun trooper kung wala naman sira or what mababa masyado price.
try ko nga pa linis yun intake manifold namin. 10year old na 1st owned trooper namin nung june 5,2013but 32,000kms mileage pa lang niya
recently change oil besco oil 10w30 oil filter and fuel filter using original isuzu, Shell ATF.
IMO maganda ang TROOPER TRUE SUV maluwag pa space sa loob, nasira lang talaga siya sa 4JX1 engine.
anyone nag pa lift ng trooper nila? gusto ko sana lift yun trooper namin 2inch lift using ironman shocks and springs

kung napalitan na yan (warranty) and maingat kanaman sa kinakargaahan mo and every 10k km palit filter sa palagay ko tatagal panaman injector mo...
hindi lang 4jx1 ang may problema sa injector marami rin sa ibang sasakyan...
cost ng injector nasa 80k with install na brand new (original) sa mechanic friend ko..
ang gumagawa sa intake cleaning ko dati siyang mechanic sa inteco pampanga...i cant give you the price sir kasi may special discount ako sa kanya eh...try mo ask sa casa magkano pulldown intake and cleaning but definitly mas mababa siya...for sure titipid pa sa fuel...
dirty(full of carbon) intake prematurely masira TPS and MAP sensor and usually kaya nasisira MAP dahil sa malfunctioning EGR na nasa intake din which is kasali na malilinisan...
kung hindi sira sir bat ka magpapalit ng radiator hoses,b.joint,w.bearing....
again personal experience lang po...

ano kaya sympton na may halong tubig ang fuel tank/filter. sa petron lang naman kami nagpapagas.

nirecommend ng mechanic sa isuzu makati na palitan yung radiator hose dahil may lobo na raw at mas magastos daw sa makina kung masisiraan nito...
may contact ka sa mechanic mo just in case masira injector ko? may tech2 siya?

talagang magkakaroon ng tubig dun sir at hindi din naman maiiwasan na mahaluan ng tubig yung mga tangke ng mga gas station. Pero kapag sobrang dami na ng tubig na pumapasok eh hindi na normal yun. the last time na nagkaroon ng tubig yung fuel filter ko nag flash yung alarm, tapos check ko yung radiator may diesel na din, buti nalang naagapan ko. May isang cylinder head sleeve na corroded ayun after mapalitan back to normal ulit.

nag-appear one time yung abs alarm ko after starting the engine. pinatay engine. then ok na. ano kaya sira nito?
"water in fuel filter" yung alarm, nasa manual yun sir. Kapag sobrang dami na ng tubig sa fuel filter. I drained it myself, nasa 1/4 liter yung tubig. Hindi pa na-top overhaul kc naagapan kaagad. 1 sleeve lang yung sira, dun pinapasok yung fuel injector. Kapag humalo kasi yung diesel sa radiator, lulutong yung mga radiator hose hanggang sa mabutas malas lang kapag tumatakbo ka na nabutas tapos naubusan ng tubig sigurado overhaul yun.
yan ba ay ilaw sa dashboard?
