hello everybody! I just returned from a brief trip to thailand at naaliw ako at mukhang pick-up lovers karamihan dun. Pinaka marami ko nakita Isuzu ata may king cab, dual cab single cab meron pang mga naka Volk TE37s. Somehow I feel we get really short changed here lalo na nung nakita ko something like this:
I don't know pero there is something about that hood scoop that makes it click for me syempre plus pa yun 3.0 VGS na makina. More so now that my Father is even set to replace his 2002 Fuego with the Dmax.
I e-mailed Isuzu Phil last week about the possibility of this 163hp variant coming here sa Pinas gusto kong mag-mura o suntukin yung computer sa sinagot sakin. generic na statement somewhat like: thank you for your interest in Isuzu products attached is a price list.... mga hung hang! yung attachment nila is the same na ma-dodownload mo sa wesite nila at in the first place iba yung tinatanong ko at hindi ko naman hinihingi yung price list.
nakakabwisit. Buti pa honda noon e-mail ko sila may sumagot talaga sakin at may pangalan pa inamin nila currently there are no plans to bring the Accord coupe locally (nagtanong ako ng coupe if ever may possibilidad).
Well my Dad will in all likelyhood still buy a D-max sana nga lang VGs na. god forbin na makabili na sya ng I-qtec tapos after a short time bigla ilabas dito satin yung VGS. Sabihin nalang kasi nila sana ng deretsuhan lalabas ba o hinde or at least plano man lang.
Di yata bagay sa atin yung surface mounted intercooler. Mainit yan masyado dito, lalo na in traffic.
*babkalakal
Majority ba ngayon naka Dmax na? Last time I was there almost every pickup was a Hilux. Mahilig sa Toyota mga Thai, kahit yung corolla sobrang dami.
*gdflores: made a quick check rack and pinion na ang Dmax. yung fuego namin recirculating ball pa ata.
*whistler: looks like it. madami din ako nakita hilux, maski ford ranger madami din and strada pero by the looks of it pinaka madami padin Dmax tsaka karamihan bago or at least alaga. meron din mga fuego pero konti nalang at meron pang fuego dun yun mukha pero suv katawan hindi campershell.
Yes bro, the thais like the dmax since its launch few years back,
the engine is refine but here's what i can say with my father's construction business with Mitsubishi-Fuso & Isuzu trucks including the 8 months old Dmax,,,one of the front shocks broke loose & was off-road last week & found me hanging on a boulder,
---the low ground clearance rear leaf spring set-up under the line axle is a minus factor in off-road.
---the ridiculuos weak small front shocks??? dwarfed by its rivals,,,
---powertrain is superb & fuel efficient.
---rough ride.
Sobrang hilig nga sa pickup ng mga tao doon.I think possible na mas maraming pickup kesa cars or maybe it was just that part of Bangkok.
I think yung rack and pinion is better for today's pickups, mabibilis na kasi. You'll never feel confident sa free play ng recirculating ball at speed. Pero yung Ranger yata recirculating ball pa din. Although mas matibay daw yung recirculating ball.
*truckesh
Does the new Dmax have coil springs on the front suspension? Yung akin kasi the shock absorber itself is the front suspension.
Well, I guess in time kapag hindi talaga to dadating, ang susunod kong tsikot eh Santa Fe na siguro.. ^_^
Your guess is as good as mine my friend. That would have been awesome!
Not sure if domestic models do have differences in terms of application to export models (aside from the fact that it's a RHD) If there is, that may be just it.
I may be wrong but I don't believe the VGS is available elsewhere other than Thailand???.... or if there are, those countries may also be a RHD.
