hello i found the answer to my question above.. i recently purchased a GAJAH TUNGGAL SAVERO AT PLUS 116T with tire size 265/75/r16. There was no conflict with the steering radius with the car's chassis whatsoever. My dmax had a more macho and sturdy look, taller to look at and overall perfect! It even look taller than the newer pickups today. The only thing i noticed was that my speed slightly decreased both in acceleration and continous driving.. before with my stock tires, i can go at 165 kph at NLEX without difficulty but now i still only reached 150kph max and not yet my old speed.. the riding comfort greatly improved because i put only 30 psi of air so the ride is really gentle without sacrificing the bulky look of the tire because even at 30 psi the tire is strikingly standing high and good to look at (by the way the max pressure of the tire is only 35 psi) wherein my old stock tires i put 40 psi just to make it's tires stand out which resulted to bumpy rides. I bought my tire at FB Ladao in timog avenue near EDSA at 4,950/piece. I am really satisfied with these tires.. i got the best of it, not only is it cheaper but it is also durable, you can see big trucks using Gajah Tunggal tires and it is already proof that it is tough and durable. here is the picture and link i got from the internet regarding the tire i bought: http://www.gt-tires.com/tire.asp?cat...pat=SAVERO+A/T

Yung naeexperience mo na drop in speed is probably a "mechanical" thing (speedometer lang).... pero ang actual mo is still 165kph.

Pers sa acceleration, malamang apektado talaga - dahil na rin siguro sa bigat ng bagong tires at nag-iba ang impact sa torque ng bigger na tires.

xxadonisxx - More rubber = more weight. No way around it. It will affect handling and spinning characteristics but you get more comfort and of course "the look" :victory:

Pwede request? Take a side view shot naman of your Max, parang ang ganda ng description mo na mataas na sya

    *wildthing

the outside diameter is only 31", i think that a 32" diameter would already hit the mudgard because the 31" has only little clearance not to hit any of the chassis' parts. Bridgestone tires are so expensive, in analogy, just as Sony televisions are ridiculously priced higher than other television brands... maybe because their model for their tires is Micheal Schumacker and Ferrari cars hehehe

here is the photo of the tire, note that there is no white marking on the tire name, the dealer said that that is because these are the newer models which has a "plus" (Savero AT plus). Anyway i like the All-terrain off-road look of it, and the tire reads are really nice.

here is a side shot of my dmax, i forgot to mention that i attached a hanger on the rear "muelye" to lift the body and i adjusted the torsion bar to lift the front face, because not doing so resulted in a not-balanced look... but now after adjusting those things the look is balanced and nice. That increase in height level may also have affected my speed in running. Well, i think a slight decrease in speed would be just fine, of course what i am after most is the comfort and the looks I am happy because even without spending too much on an expensive Mag Wheels i am still able to improve my car's height and sturdy look

I have a 2003 4x2 LS A/T. I'm not too sure if my computations are accurate but I get around 8.5 kms/L in the city and about 10-11 kms/L in highway driving.

By the way, I have a mild lead foot syndrome.

    thanks adonis for the info.

the bridgestones on my LS is alread 4 years old (now at 92500+ kms na), I think it still have enough thread to last me another 10,000km.... value for money bridgestones pays for itself.... the only reason I'm itching to replace it is because:

    1) hindi naman ako ang magbabayad (office service ko kasi eto)
    2) sawa na ako dun at gustong kong tumangkad ang stance niya like what you did.

I'm gunning for a 32" kasi I also plan to have a 2" body lift (will cost me P7-8T to do it).

sana magpush through ang plans ko.

If it does, I'll make a documentation of the build (body lift and change from stock tires to a 32" tire) and post it here.
