I am not sure when are they going to release the all new Dmax but I when I was browsing the Auto Industriya website, in the 2009 Bangkok International Motor Show link, I saw the Dmax Platinum Edition. It looks WOW! Here is the picture:

Whew!! Na miss ko na tuloy DMAX KO

Hi guys.. Im planning to get a 2nd hand 07 (new look) dmax .. I would want to know from you DMAX owners which is better, M/T or A/T? Which is faster? gusto ko kasi di maiiwan pag convoy with my other SUV's ..
I Dont have to much info about the DMAX..What were some of the problems you guys encountered in the long run?

I choose DMAX kasi up to 800K lang budget ko for a second hand pick up..

    Thanks..

Considering the traffic one encounters in the Metro, A/T. No worries of being left behind despite being an A/T... the D-Max A/T can manage.

my dad's ride is a 4x2 LS AT (although i am the one using it everyday)... it can keep up with our Fortuner 2.7 VVT-i (which is my ride, using them alternately)... pagka may out of town ang family, no one is being left behind even at high speeds... i call them the "Twin White Devils"...

On what basis is this? Brochure? Engine displacement? From what i know, optimum performance is based on a good balance of POWER-TO-WEIGHT RATIO. Ergo, it does not automatically mean that if a vehicle is 3.5L, it means it's "faster" than a 3.0L.

Modesty aside, I have tried a D-Max 4x2 AT and achieved 200kph. I am not sure if there is a convoy that would require that speed.

Pare, you're on the right track!

Seriously, all those brands you mentioned qualify your requirement, of course, including the D-Max. Whichever you decide on to get, just make sure it's well maintained since amongst the vehicle types (aside from trucks and vans) the pick-up is the one most abused.

Good luck on your search and keep us updated!

From my knowledge, the projector type uses H7 bulb and the high uses H1. I must warn you, I'm not 100% on this.

One simple way to confirm this is to ask your dad to remove and take a close-up photo of the headlight and figlights bulbs and email them to you. Using those photos, you could show it to the shop where you intend to buy the HIDs.

    Good luck!

Yes i think the low uses an H7 bulb then the foglights uses 9006. The hi's uses 9005 i think. That's as far ai can remember last time i checked the bulbs.
