Hi Guys, Just installed all OME shocks in my Max. Here's my take:
Upon initial drive on paved roads, not much of a difference from my previously installed kyb shocks (aftermarket) unless you run over humps and bumps. I think its because the kyb shocks are also stiff (great in cornerings actually).
The main and the BIG difference between the EMU and KYB shocks is the valving. You can really breeze through rough roads with confidence. I observed that vibrations are now limited (and also decreased) in the steering wheel. Seat vibrations which normally causes my back pains, are now gone, which means that the shocks are really doing its job of absorbing them.
The rear, having leaf springs is still stiff but the harshness and most importantly the BOUNCINESS (specially when unladen) was significantly reduced making the ride more tolerable.
I can say that OME shocks are really great upgrades and it really does its job. Its expensive mainly because of the technology (valving) that comes with it. But I hope that ARB finds a way to reduce the price so that many clients can enjoy this particular product..hehe.
But hey, its still a truck and not a car ha. Don't expect it to run like a car. Hit or tap the brakes if you need to...hehe.
Thanks ARB for the special arrangement in RATS.

yes OME has torsion bars for the max. But it is stiffer than the originals as it designed to handle more loads, like front winch bumper, winch etc.

I see pare. I'm contemplating in reversing the last springs sa rear ng Dmax. Big difference ba? Parang hindi ko ma fully utilize ang ride na binibigay ng EMU shocks sa likod? How much loading capacity will be compromised and how much height will be reduced?

Djerms - Congrats on a great investment! Give it a bit more time like a week for the OMEs to settle in, hindi pa yan ang actual ride nya, gaganda pa yan. Break-in mo muna, roadtrip again?
Srbogoy - The velcro on the trapal side is stitched and the entire bedliner side Devcon ko because plain rugby won't do. EB tayo with the rest of the Cebu Dmax owners pagbalik mo ha? May schedule ako sa Cebu by next month.
iiinaslao - Thanks! Just idolizing your roll-up hahaha!
Electric-driven hydraulic power steering too. Great for retrofitting into classic cars, preserves...
