Anyway sabi naman ng Autotechnika para ngang masyadong maaga ang 20tkms for changing the ATF. Sa kanila ang standard is 35tkms.

I'm thinking, baka power steering ang pinalitan using the ATF kaya may nagrereflect sa billing. Kasi 4liters lang ang ginagamit nilang ATF considering na 9liters ang capacity ng tranny natin.

Ano po ba ang nakasulat sa manual? sorry my manual is not with me right now.

    Thanks.
djerms, its 20k and precautionary measure yan dahil sa gamit natin d2 sa pinas and also sa climate natin d2... we noticed kc sa 40 the oil looses a bit of its color na and turns to light balck color... iv asked narin from a plant personel dati sa engineering dept nila... better daw sa 20k. the earlier the better kc mejo hitech daw ang trans natin sa isuzu...

pre, dami naman ng trans oil mo.. 9 liters.. usually 3-4 liters lang yan... engine na ata ang 9 liters na capacity....

    Thanks for the advice jarhead.

9 liters ang magagamit if I will be using the transtech machine which sucks out 99% of the ATF in the tranny. Pero sa casa, since drain lang, 3-4 liters lang ang nagagamit kasi hindi natatanggal yung atf sa torque converter.

I'll undergo the drain replacement nalang muna this 20tkms then the transtech at 40k para ubos lahat ng old atf.

hindi naman necessary ipa suck ang oil tlaga sa trans.. as long as its replaced ng every 20k kilometers.. ok lang... what i did sa trooper namin is drain then i let it hang sa lifter namin and put it on drive.. it wil cause the oil to flow also but for a while lang pina run sa drive...

Guys since your on the topic na, ok lang ba if you decide to do a drain (either engine or tranny) overnight?

My Dad used to do this before. He would open the plug in the evening then just leave it dripping overnight sa garage, fill-up in the morning nalang, that way mas marami daw ang matatanggal.

Yan nga din inisip ko. For as long as 20tkms ang palit, it will be fine. Pero Praning ako sa mga ganyan kaya I want the transtech at 40tkms. hehe.

pwede rin naman memps but the same story lang kung pinadrip mo ng 30 minutes or more, and let it drip lang for a while mga 30 minutes...hindi naman talaga necessary ipadrain whole night... as lang as 80% of the oil is being drained and replaced ng bew oil.. and baka meron pa papasaok sa engine mo na mga insect or dirt or ano p dyan....
