you have a point dyan djerms.. but i was considering the setup ng trooper, but not using the exact coil spring or shocks,, etc, and it would be good sana ganun ang set up... limited nga lang ang load mo...

Pwede kaya lagyan ng higher mount ang front seats ng DMAx? Gusto ko sana high ride para kita lahat parang sa trooper.

Guys yung center console ng alterra iba sa center console ng dmax. Yung cover ng compartment I think is higher making it also serve as an armrest. Do you think pwede bumili ng part na yun sa Isuzu then replace the existing cover sa dmax? Malamang identical naman ang mga hinges.

Hi guys! Memphis here. My Dmax LS is only 3 months old (still a baby ) My initial mods are: K&N filter & HIDs. I had my bed spray lined before I placed my plastic MaxLiner. Matagal nakong naghahanap ng site that caters to us Dmax-ers and what a thread this is!

Thanks to Kurt for starting this

buti na lang DMAX natin walang ganyang problema. kahit 'di pa siya common rail pero reliable and tested naman..
2Dmax, jarhead - Ows? bad trip yun coz most of the New Hi-lux owners bought the thing para sa looks. Can you be more specific with what kind of problems these "new gen" engines have? I never liked the New Hi-lux, talong-talo sa interior ng Dmax. Example? We got a car like shifter (for manuals) compared to the Hi-lux truck like shifter.

Welcome Memphis. Keep on posting. Wala lang time ang mga tao dito kaya ayaw mag EB. Where are you from?

    Jarhead,
I inquired sa Isuzu Pasig kanina about the cover sa compartment ng center console. Damn.

Siguro naman may na-total wreck nang Alterra by this time. hehehe. Nakakatakot lang pumunta unless may kasama kang beterano like kimpOy.

Ian_Rex - Thanks for the welcome. Cone type medium size. Laki nga ng blank space when I replaced the stock one; perfect na for your horns (kahit anong brand/size kasya!), sirens or whatever you would like to add into your bay.
Plus, just like what happened on my SiR, improved mileage of at least 1km added per liter. Mas lumakas pa ang hatak.

Djerms, Jarhead - Thanks guys! I'm from Negros Oriental, opposite ng Bacolod City. Could only wish to join one of your EB's. Perhaps Christmas when I visit my relatives in Manila. jarhead, what do you mean "changes in ride height"? Mas tumaas ba or down?

expect some more improvements on your fuel consumption. ang hanap ko yung drop-in type para stock pa din ang itsura sans the performance. ala sleeper car- in our case, truck. hehehe.

my sentiments exactly i really plan to make it a sleeper, all stock form on the outside pero kargado pala on the inside hehe. Pogi naman ang stock rims. The drop-in types from K&N are hard to find thats why I went for cone nalang. Another advantage sa cone type is that you get a head turning "swooosh" air sound from under the hood each time you hit the gas; kinda makes the other guy think twice before challenging this sleeper :naughty2:

memphis, i agree. put my k&n too in my EK Civic. on the shell was LXi stock even the rims. but having put a sports filter, well- the results were good. i love the 'vrooming' sound each time i step on the accelerator. i just hate it when it was screaming 'vraam' but no acceleration- because right after i eased the pedal there goes the acceleration. sort of a lag...

do you experience this 'lag' too in your dmax? sa dmax kasi namin, ramdam ko yung lag nang turbo. pero i got used to it...

Seems like we have a lot in common: a Civic and a Dmax Yes there is a slight turbo lag sa Dmax, even worse daw for automatics. I do have a theory on this, when I switched to the K&N the lag was significantly lowered so perhaps the smoother airflow gives that extra boost. On my SiR naman, I was able to minimize the "accelaration lag" (since it does not have a turbo) when I switched to headers and K&N.
