Installed a relay-kit (not HID as my earlier ignorance asserted hehe) then replaced the bulbs with Wurth Super White; so much better than stock, so much cheaper than HIDs .

Ever since I got my unit last year, I have it car washed once a week then engine wash once a month para hindi dumikit ang stubborn dirt. All these at my local car wash shop that has ordinary boy washers.

So far naman, there hasn't been a single incident with regards to external engine or electronic parts damage even though they use high pressure water. I guess it's really true what they say about Isuzu engines...bulletproof!

    jason,

yun dmax ko nga ipina engine detail ko kina vince...putsa parang brandnew (that was about a year ago) ... wala naman naging problem after that.

    memphis,

update you on the project...plan ko talaga gumawa ng ganun (clading and body mouldings) para sa dmax... kaso it is better that I attend their formal training muna...

kasama rin sa plan ko na gumawa ng cheaper "camper shell" or bed cover na ala-ford sportrac...

anu yung flat-type na rear bumper? got any pictures nito?

sa bumper and nakikita kong maganda ay yung ala-ARB/TJM na metal (aluminum bumper na from australia). Sa Ride meron pero mahal...

ang problem ko na lang dung sa ala-ford-sportrac na bed cover ay yung mga handle and lock mechanism niya (walang ganun sa market at the moment)... pero yun mechanisma and possible design (concept) merun na.

remove the TINT on your windshield. better than HID! hehe sa ngaun, wala kong tint sa windshield ko (replaced due to crack) and i'll say na ngaung tag-ulan very satisfied ako. hehe very great visibility..

    Hi Paulbaguio,

7k for a manual Dmax siguro. If AT, did they change tranny fluid (iba iba din kasi recommendedchange of AT fluid ng isuzu dito sa manila. Hence some having cheaper pms at 20tkms.

Ang change of AT fluid I think will set you back another 3.5k plus vat.

    anong brand ung 3000k HID?

ganda siguro combination: 8000k headlight and 3000k foglights. para combo of porma and useability. kaso one set nga lang ng HID di na ko makabili, two sets pa kaya. haha

Kahit naman with stock wattage iitim ang housing eh. It will just be a bit earlier if you use high wattage bulbs. Hindi mo gaano mararamdaman. Baka ibebenta mo na Dmax mo, hindi pa ganun ka itim.

Just don't forget to have your sockets replaced to ceramics.

instead of putting a very dark tint sa windshield, I highly recommend a magic neutral tint.. (3M or platinum brand are good options)

sa gabi or takipsilim hampered na ang view with dark tint, pero sa magic neutral para walang tint... and yet you are hardly noticeable from the outside.

Hey thanks Djerms. I think I'll try that. Where can we get those relay kits? Is it available sa most service shops?

I'm using 3M (I forgot the name of the shade) din with the lightest tint. Kitang kita ka pa rin sa loob, lalo na sa gabi but still nabibitin talaga ako sa stock lights. How about the HIDs, hinde ba nakakaitim din yun?

nope.. HID's are like the flourescent lights in ur house... it odnt use too much energy yet very bright.. halogens are like the ordinary bulbs, it uses alot of energy but mahina ang ilaw and mainit din tlaga..

HID's are cool to the touch kahit matagal na yu naka on... wala kc filament na sunugin niya to make a light... gas kc ang nasa loob nun and parang starter and ballast lang ang nagdala ng power... just like your typical household flourescent lamp...
