Correct. Note the green image in the photo below shows water passing thru tire channels to reduce the experience of aquaplaning.

SOS help po mga Sirs...re my Sportivo '05 alarm system.

This AM for warm-up, i used the door keys instead of the remote. No problem with the warm-up... turned off the engine, got the keys out and closed the door. After a few steps away from the vehicle, bigla na lang nag-siren/alarm nonstop, with all the flashers blazing. Ayaw na rin magstart, ie no response at all from the ignition.

To silence it, i had to disconnect na lang the battery terminals. So I was forced to use my motorbike na lang pagpasok sa office.

This noon (lunchbreak), i tried to reconnect the battery.

Help naman po...what should i do?? Hindi ko na magamit eh...

*acergy- yup baka nga reset lang yan. pero last time nung naganyan ako, weak na pala yung battery, which apparently caused the alarm to malfunction.

Yeah, I totally forgot the remote transmitter.

Hardware? I would suggest you go to a Japanese auto supply and you may just be able to get a new piece.... worst scenario, sa surplus shop.... tiyak meron mga yun nyan.

*benzmizer- yup, diba meron sa mga hardware like Ace and Handyman na ganun? kaso mga de-kulay. okay thanks sir, will try to check at Fernando's tom.

Thanks Sir Benz. Kelangan pala press and hold for about 5seconds, hindi pwede press lang.

Yes, it did the trick of "killing" the alarm.

I guess its not the car battery nor the remote transmitter battery in my case.

Pinacheck ko car battery (stock pa, 5 years old) last month, it was given an A-OK rating. Up to this time, one-click easy starting pa naman. The remote battery is only 2months old naman, at pati yung spare remote ko wont work.

Unless, either one has expired after the above-mentioned span of time...?

I suppose that is not the standard bro..

Mine is a 2nd-hand '05 Sportivo, and my spare tire is exactly similar to the other tires - chrome mags with michelin tires din.

If your Sportivo/XUV is a XMAX, yes, those are using "steel rim sparetire" already. I believe the XT/XTi also uses steelies na but not sure when this year it started. See photo below:

Hmmm... Hindi ko napansin yun a, nasa casa ako kahapon pero I didn't notice that the spare tire on new vehicles now are using steel wheels instead of the sets installed. I have a 2007 XUV and its spare tire still has the alloy wheels similar to those installed. New buyers should be advised to check because the spare tire cover in current models are closed, meaning you cannot see the spare tire, unlike the 2007 version "honeycomb". Nagtaas pa naman sila ng SRP.
