Sa Isuzu Makati meron Test Unit for Isuzu Alterra pero this is not the 2007 Model. The Test Unit is the 2005 Model pero same engine naman to with the 2007 Model.

Mukhang Top Speed lang tinitingnan mo sa pagpili ng Car ha.

Pre, advice lang - ok lang naman if you go for a Car with Higher Top Speed limit if that is the way you really drive but even of you get a car with higher top speed limit, di mo din magagamit most of the time unless you always use NLEX or Start Toll Way pero kahit jan may mga speed limit na 100kph lang.
So, make a wise decision sa pagpili. Think kung saan mo talaga gagamitin and the roads you will always use. Then based on these consideration, doon ka pumili ng car na bibilhin mo.

matibay naman ang suspension ng Alterra. My Alterra already traveled 139T km but so far no problems yet. Alterra is indeed durable compared to other SUV in it’s class. This is one dependable SUV both on pave highways and rough road. Fuel Efficient is even better compared to other brands even if the car actually has a large engine displacement.

May be that’s why it is more expensive than other SUV (in it’s class)

The maximum speed that I attained is 160KPH at NLEX. The car is still capable of attaining higher speeds but I didn’t take the risk anymore.

Regarding your 2nd option (Grand Starex), I had bad experiences before with Hyundai but hopefully their products will improve on reliability section in the future…

PS. Bakit ganu feedback ng ibang tao sa Alterra e okay naman ang performance. Actually mas okay pa kaysa sa Fortuner kaya maraming tao mag-papalit ng FORTUNER nila… hehehe.

Externally kasi it does not look maporma compared to Everest, Fortuner, and Santa Fe. I think yon lang. I don't think it is because of the Isuzu badge.

Look at Dmax and Trooper, love naman sila dito except those troopers na may problem sa injectors.

Isa pa ung crosswind sa hate dito ng mga members kesyo mausok daw and matagtag.

They don't look at the reliability and fuel efficiency side of the Isuzu Brand.

Isuzu pa, known for trucks and diesel engine technology.

It is just that the Alterra is hindi maporma kaya ganon. Pero performance-wise, this is great.

Nabasa ko sa isang website na among the Japanese Diesel Engine Manufacturers, Isuzu ang napili na mag-provide ng vehicels sa isang Japanese Expedition sa North Pole.


Maiba nga pala, bakit ung Alterra walang separate na radiator for its Turbo compared to my SF?

Ung sa Santa Fe, nasa ibabaw kasi ng engine swak doon sa scoop under the hood pero sa Alterra wala akong nakikitang ganito. Integral na ba sya doon sa Radiator ng Engine?

mas ok ng diyan ka bumili at least hindi ka na luluwas pa ng manila para sa PMS, warranty, repairs. dito sa amin napakaraming isuzu kasi sila lang may malapit na casa.

That is nice. Yup ang SF ung Intercooler is nasa ibabaw ng engine nakatapat sa hood scoop underneath.
