Sang-ayon ako dito. Unahin muna ang mas mura ang gasto.
    1. Change air filter. 250+ pesos lang po ito.
    2. Change fuel filter, kailan ka huling nag palit?

    Mausok ng puti pa rin?

Ung white smoke should be gone by 4-5 mins or kapag uminit na ung engine.

[quote]si sir Xwind and rsnald my calibration instruction i had it printed and stored a copy sa XTO ko. di ko pa nagagawa kasi di talaga ako marunong. i asked my dad's trusted Mechanic, di naman na daw kailangan un ang sabi sakin.[/unquote]

White smoke means more air less fuel.

Yes, yes. Check mo baka mataas ang level ng crankcase oil. Pag sobra ang langis mai-splash ito sa cylinder wall ng sobrang dami at ang iba ay sasama sa exhaust gas palabas, may pagka-blue ang usok nito.

With regard to the number of liters of engine oil an XTO crosswind can take. i was advised mga 5 liters daw ang kelangan ilagay. but serveral people posted 4 liters lang.

Yesterday i did a change oil then 4 liters lang nilagay ko but i purchased 5 liters... so just in case 5 talaga idadagdag ko na agad later. just to be sure.

It will depend kung nagpalit ng oil filter, if yes you need more oil. If oil filter retained less oil.

Peeps be careful putting too much oil as required. Aside from diesel, engine oil can also be fuel. Its possible that the engine will run (at high rpm) even if ignition turned off because it uses engine oil as fuel.

Yep i replaced the oil filter as well. so approximately do i need to add 1 more liter of oil?

Kasi last time i had my oil changed sa Rapide' and i believe they filled it with 5 liters of oil. medjo short ako ngaun so ako na muna ang naglagay. exclusive kasi sila sa ACDelco na parts, pati ung oil filter. i was told VIC daw ung isa na maganda na alternative for the filter so un din ang nilagay ko.

So ngaun 4 liters ang nasa engine ko, how much more ang idadagdag ko.

sir butirog...4 liters is sufficient na for our 4JA1...but to check the oil level is on max line on dip stick...check mo morning not yet cranked the engine on a level surface...hugutin mo dipstick then remove the oil on it using a rag then i-dip mo ulit at hugot then check mo oil level mo kung nasa below/max/ or above IMHO mas madali magdagdag kesa magbawas....kung below ka sa max unti unti lang ang pagsalin mo and check palagi ang level after magsalin...may drain bolt ang 4JA1 natin sa ilalim ng oil filter natin..kapag hindi natin ito natanggal meron dito naiiwan na oil even magpalit tayo ng oil filter..kindly check the users manual for this drain plug...

Thanks sir jaz014, yeah i'll do that. thanks for the Advice. Mukang mag stay muna si Ecto 2 (crosswind) named him after sa Ghostbusters chopper. Inclined kasi ung garage namin eh. bout sa drain bolt i havent seen that. ung typical lang na nasa oil reservior na drain plug nakita ko. anyway i tried blowing away the oil using the air compressor that we have to drain any left oil in the engine. then after Labatiba mode ng exhaust. kaya game na sa mga anti-smoke belching team dito sa makati...hehehe

no problem sir...yun drain bolt sir ng filter ay nasa ilalim ng oil filter natin if im not mistaken 24 or 21 yung size nun basta malaki yun bolt nya compare to the drain plug sa oil pan natin...kung DIY oil change kayo mas maganda galing sa run ang crosswind natin and within normal temp range...kung meron kayo wilkins na container yung 6 liters cut one side with a hole (platito size) para nakahiga yun at kasya sa ilalim ng ride natin...then slowly loosen the plug and be careful kasi hot yung oil at magsplat sa floor nyo...remove oil filler cap para mas bumilis ang drop ng oil...usually sa night ko gawa ito and let it stay there for overnight...minsan tilt ko pa driver side with a jack para lumabas lahat ng old oil...then sa morning change filter tapos plug the oil pan tapos salin na ng engine oil to the max level and top up if needed...the known problem lang if you are from manila is yung disposal ng used oil...kasi yung sa akin eh hinihingi pa nung brother in-law ko at ginagamit pa sa 4BA1 engine jeepney namin...take note Isuzu din yun..kahit gamit na oil ayos na ayos pa din daw...kasi daw minsan yung jeep nila every 6 months lang magchangeoil tapos minsan ayaw ng pumatak sa drain kasi nagsludge or nagputik na sa tagal ng oil change but still ginagamit everyday at very reliable...that is how isuzu engine is known for bullet proof talaga...
