Devil's Own comes second, because it only gives good gains on turbocharged cars, and needs to be refilled from time to time. It's a right gas on a turbodiesel, but isn't very useful on a gasoline car unless it's turbocharged or your installing a high power turbo kit.
how about isuzu Trooper and Pajero? UNICHIP and methanol injection OR devil own?

Any ideas if you were to squeeze more juice from latest models Isuzu XUV (and Nissan Bravado)? Ano dapat ang unahin (logical progression) na performance mods?

I would have preferred less intrusive mods kg meron sana. Salamat.

Sell the XUV and buy a faster car.

You'll need to retune the fuel pump and change out the turbo to make any decent power out of the XUV... and even then, the limits of the 4JA1 are low...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Just want to share something about dpchip. Got it installed on my GS. Initial dyno was 119hp. After was 134hp. Not sure if gain was enough for me in relation to investment. However, i do feel the difference in acceleration from lower speed or stop status.

    What? 119HP?

TCi variant ba yung Grand Starex mo bro?

Kasi kung CRDi-VGT, pure BS lang yung 174HP sa spec. sheet

That's weird, according to this link: http://www.speedlab.com.ph/products/...randstarex.jpg the Grand Starex makes 164whp stock with an improvement to 184whp after the Unichip installation. Siguro GRX CRDi yan? It makes more power than the TCi but less than the CRDi VGT... And this is the performance chart for the GRX: http://www.speedlab.com.ph/products/unichip/starex.jpg

Ang sabi sakin, yun rating daw na nasa spec sheet is engine rating. Yun daw sa kanila is from the wheel rating. Di daw talaga magmamatch yun. Yun ang sabi sa akin. Gusto nga itry yun alcohol injection. Vgt yun sa akin.

Just to clarify further, i saw a difference between the two tests. Sa dpchip, they measured by speed. So at 120kms, my gs produced 119hp. After dpchip, it went up to 134hp. Sa unichip, it looked like i measures against rpm. It looks like there is a difference in way it was measured.

Yup, yung 164whp dun sa Unichip dyno sheet is maximum wheel horsepower nga na naabot at 4000rpm, as compared to the 174 maximum brake horsepower claimed by the manufacturer measured directly from the engine without additional load from the car's body. At what RPM po ba naabot ang 119hp? Kung 120km/h siguro nasa somewhere around 2000rpm yun? Can you post a picture of the dyno results? I'm really curious.

nag-inqiure ako sa speedlab 2 weeks ago for mods ng dmax. they gave me quotation on how much magagastos for the mods. almost 150k but i reallyt think naman na sulit un for what i want for my dmax. although never tried their shop before e most of my friend e dun nagpagawa ng mods. even my friend who has a '04 camry, laki ng difference talaga from stock engine.hehe ramdam ko ung power nung camry niya before and after the mods.

ung unichip na quotation nila for me is 30k kasama na dyno testing dun. tapos FMIC, full exhaust pati alcohol injection kasama na sa almost 150k.

Ah so by speed nga talaga siya and not by RPM so hindi yan ang peak power niya.

There are two types of dynos, rolling road and power runs, rolling road is for real world driving most of use do not drive in 2nd or 3rd gear at full throttle.

Looks about right to me, Starex is just over 170 at the crank so around 150 to 140 to wheels at full power drivetrain loss is pretty big on these vehicles around 20% to 22%. My Elgrand is 150hp at the crank so around 115 at the wheels and that's about what I put down.

I added some boost and a simple intake to mine so the base hp is just about dead on on your and mine on a rolling road.
