I've always felt that the Trooper is how exactly a true and proper 4X4 truck should look like - very much dissimilar to many of the new models these days that are beginning to look like cars. I mean if I wanted a car-looking vehicle, I'd buy a car. Well, to each his own.
My local V6 Trooper is six years old already, but I still haven't grown tired of its looks, which says a lot because, with all my past and present vehicles, I normaly get tired after just a couple of years and I begin to get the visual upgrade itch. The Trooper is definitely a keeper! If I ever get the extra funds one of these days, I will definitely seriously consider the front-end upgrade.
I just noticed na bumabagsak na ang tayo ng trooper ko sa likod (without load)... I have seen some na ganoon din, this normal?... I have the local 2003 model
BTW - Garyq... thanks for the biodiesel... the guy from whiteplains
It's not normal for leaf springs to sag prematurely. Especially if your unit is a year old. It could be factory defect for the springs or one leaf is already damaged due to excess load.
bryboy: have installed old man emu suspension shocks and coils on my ride. Replaced all 4 shocks and 2 coils at the back. The result is much better ride, smooth and handling not quite tested takot ako mag pa circo circo on hi-speed. But they say replacing to OME would prevent body roll and tip over.
IceColdBeer: Na-pa PMS mo na ba? sa akin close to 20k narin kinakabahan na nga ako sa gagastusin... any body have a cheaper alternative?
Suggestion naman if you would recommend that I have it serviced on a reputable shop other than CASA. I live near banawe so any shop u can recommend? Tireboy?
Garyq: any body you know with 4jx1-tc using biodiesel? may feedback ba? I have a whole gallon here but I am hesitating on using it in my ride. What is the pros and cons?
mdpo: 2 guys that I talked to. Forgot their handle dito but they go up to BD10. According to them lesser usok. Better if you do your own research din coz I sell bd so baka di maganda dating. Sa EC countries this is common practice already and bd is mixed in na sa pumps.
garyq: thanks for that info. I'll try to ask around sabi kasi ng CASA they heard of it but they wouldnt recommend it dahil di pa ito tested with them. Thanks.
Matagal na issue na yan.. there once here pa nga sumulat sa main at sinasabi about the Biodiesel. Though biodiesel looks very promising I won't recommend using this on a Electronic Engine i.e the 4JX1-TC Engine dahil the sensors of this engine is super ultra mega sensitive. Though a BIODIESEL will definitely clean the combustion... if I were to use it on a 4JX engine.. I suggest NO.
If I were to use the BIO to a 4JG2 YES GO AHEAD because the 4JG2 sensors is not sensitive (this is on my initial assessment)
I don't say for 2000 to 2004 troopers not to use. if it is ok for you then go but I believe it is on your own risk.. particularly those who still service there truck sa casa dahil mahirap eh..... They still evaluate it... Some member here e-mail the plant about this... and some of my tropa called me asking me on what it is...
So still it is your at own risk...
Lord Garyq - sorry ha.... medyo alanganin talaga ako for the 4JX1 eh.. it is my honest opinion eh...
As for the CASA, hmmmmm...... si ICB baka sinusumpa na ako nun hehehehehe... tinimbrihan ko yung tropa na alagaan ang sasakyan niya..
