I think Thai-sourced Australian models come with 6 (no driver's knee) airbags since 2013, wonder if Isuzu would retrofit more active safety feats on the next facelift, yun na yung pinaka weakness niya against competitors, probably the reason why they can't update crash safety ratings kasi malaking chunk ng score sa availability ng active safety nanggagaling.

Crash ratings are based on a new model release so MU-X is still 5 star ANCAP rated, incremental updates on the same vehicle still carry the same rating.

Only if they release an all-new model without active safety features won't it qualify for a 5 star rating. So expect it won't get it until 2023 if they still follow the 10 year model cycle.

Some cars undergo retesting after revisions or new active safety feats are included, but since not all markets get 6 airbags it wouldn't hurt if they step up and follow what Chevy did with the heavily revised Trailblazer.

I love the red ambient lighting, it fits the dark interior well, anyone here owns the Luxe model? Wonder if the power tailgate was sourced from Isuzu's OEM accessory partner. Wala yata sa catalog nila yun.

Gusto ko din yung 360 degree camera system ng Malaysian D-MAX [emoji16]

I find the red interior ambient lighting harsh to my eyes. The ones in the bluepower is better. Cool to my taste.

Brought the MUX to Benguet over the weekend. In summary - pretty good road trip vehicle with great space, commanding ride height, and a rugged underchassis.

Torque was also good as long as you're in the boost range (1700 rpm and above). As expected though, it suffers from the usual pitfalls of PPVs (poor handling, wallowy ride, lack of refinement). Was not used to having to take corners so slowly because of the truck-like steering and pronounced body roll. The positive tradeoff of course is that potholes and uneven roads were absorbed very well without upsetting the cabin.

What's surprising for me is that the 1.9 RZ4E has lackluster fuel economy when fully loaded - only 11.4 km/L. There were 6 of us plus cargo, and the MUX was very, very sluggish when it wasn't within boost range. I always had to downshift to stay above 1700 rpm and upshift at 3000 rpm just to have enough torque to climb uphill. However, on a flat road with just 3 on board, it adequately putters around in the city without feeling strained. In light city driving (20 kph average) - I was able to get 11 km/L.

Ultimately - if you don't drive too briskly and don't often carry heavy loads, the 1.9 RZ4E is sufficient. It's at par with the 2.2 Everest and 2.4 Fortuner. But the extra oomph of the 3.0 is worth it, especially with the big discounts right now.

Nice review. I never went to Benguet but with my Baguio round trip (including city traffic - Baguio and Manila) clocked at 12km/L. This is via mcarthur highway. Rz4e lsa.

Juts im trying to figure out why your subconscious mind is somehow switching to the MuX wherein you prefer racing cornering quality interior creature comfort, its not only becuase its your fiance’s family car chosen car but also because you re a man

Why until now the LR90 or the G wagon still getting attention, eh kasi these suvs offer what we are rugged and masculine look, never mind if we walk rough or we dont have nail polish or whitening ointment, Its becuasw the MuX body is the closest thing to a boxy Lr90 in the current PPV segment. You dont know it but you feel it later on maybe 15 to 20 years from now, it can achieve a classic suv appeal from the smartphone generation millenials that we have now. And thats power I guess, coz nakabile ka na ngaun tipid ka nasa inflation sa future regardless kung hybird or tesla type na cars of the future.

Kasi the terrain and nature wont change , thats the true reality. It will always be harsh lalo na ngaun nag change na ang magnetic north to siberia, also expalins why America is now experiencng Snow all down to arizona, and were are experiencing cold weather today but el nino drought tomorrow. With those as given, grabe ang gastos ng mga refined cars like crv, cx5, santa fe

Ang ganda ng Jimny na to grabe, even if it has gasoline, i cant help but conclude that im attracted be uase it had the same appeal as when I decided to get the MUx

Dami mong sinabi, eh kaya ko lang naman dinala yung MUX kasi kailangan ko ng 6-seater. The CRV is still far more comfortable, refined, and fun to drive. Yun nga lang 5-seater lang yung CRV namin. [emoji4]
