Good NVH at 100 kph. 1800 rpm in 6th gear, tire and wind noise are actually louder than engine noise. However, when you rev past 2200 rpm, you get reminded that you're driving a truck. I've only done 14 km/L with the 6MT 1.9 R4ZE on Commonwealth at 1am with no traffic. Regular driving nets around 9-11 km/L in moderate traffic (16-20 kph average speed).I'm not particularly impressed with the RZ4E's FC. In pure highway driving (NLEX, SCTEX) at 100-120 kph cruising speed (around 80 kph MID average speed), it only averages 15 km/L.
My Civic does 16-17 km/L in the same conditions, and even the gas-guzzling 2.0 CRV can do 14 km/L with that driving.
I was expecting an easy 20 km/L run but the poor aerodynamics seem to limit the MUX's highway FC.

Hindi rin pala nalalayo sa 3.0 bluepower ang fc ni 1.9...was thinking too na it can easily meet the 20 km/l via highway at around 90-100 kph as advertised.

anlayo pala sa advertise ng isuzu na 25km/l ang rz4e 1.9, same lang sila fc ng 3.0 mas refine lang ang engine noise ng 1.9 base on my test drive to this model.

My 2002 Honda city can only go 13-14km/L highway. It’s a type z vtec 1.5L variant. City driving is 8-8.5km/L. Full tank basis.
I bet your Civic is newer.

True the rz4e’s fc is not really that impressive based on what Isuzu is claiming. But coming from my previous ride I still have some savings in terms of fuel costs.
Does anybody know the fc of the 2.2L Everest?

I am curious about the FC as well.
We just recently acquired a Dmax Single Cab and Chassis with the FB type rear body on it (1.9L BluePower engine). I am curious whether it is cause of the rpm the engine is being kept that cause the FC (other than being fully loaded with people).
Right now, I've only been able to drive the Dmax within Metro Manila. Had a few times stuck in traffic, while others were on short trips where I had to shut off the engine to park before moving to the next destination. FC Readout tell me around 9.4 to 9.5km/l (hovering at that area). If it is close to that for City Driving, then it matches close to FC of our Honda City 1.3 i-DSI CVT, but that's with an if.
As a comparison to why I asked what rpm you could be holding the car at top gear/final gear, when I used to drive our family's Montero GLX (previous gen with VGT), I used to keep it close to 2000rpm when I started back when I had a project in Camarines Norte. the total 700kms round trip, I couldn't even do with a full tank of diesel.
I changed my driving style later on to hover closer to just 1500rpm at the final gear (4th in that generation's case) and I could complete the whole 700kms journey without the fuel light turning on.
Right now, I'm actually trying to find a sweet spot for the rpm of the Dmax, and it looks to be around 1500rpm to 1750rpm. Once I'm close to 2000rpm, I hear the engine "roaring" so I try to pull back on the accelerator to see how it fares.
Again, I'm still experimenting on it. But it's not going to be my daily driver. I'm actually doing the "break in" a little while waiting for the LTO registration papers to come out.
And to the one asking why the watch is on the right hand instead of the left, I also wear my watch on my right eventhough I know the "standard" is to wear it on the left. I just personally don't like the feeling of wearing the watch on my left. Tried it a few times, ended up moving it to the right after half an hour.
If checking the time is really that much of a distraction, doesn't your car already have a clock built-in in some shape or form? The DMAX can have it on the radio so why would I need to check my hand? Most cars with built in monitors also have it on the display, so why would you end up being distracted (while driving) to check your watch when a digital clock is in your line of sight? Just curious.
