I still think that the smaller block will be more stressed compared to the 3.0. But damn if its being used in commercial trucks. Lakas din pala ah!

I just realized that pero the dmax pulled the 10wheelers with 50tons load? Impressive with 1.9hp.

there was one video where isuzu put 1200kg on the pickup bed and the single cab dmax was happily doing it easily. too bad they deleted the video

What happened na kaya to the 2.5 4jk1 motor for the european d-max/mu-x that has the same hp and torque ratings of the 2.5 yd25 4x2 np300 here? Iirc, that 4jk1 has twin turbos right?

So maybe that's why they replaced it with the newer 1.9 motor, because maybe the 2.5 twin turbo isn't that fuel efficient? I still prefer the latter, though.

The twin-turbo 2.5 was Euro V compliant, they probably went with the lower displacement for even lower emissions, plus Euro VI compliance.

AFAIK class leading na yung D-Max sa kanila in terms of emissions.

    Ah i see.

To date, that twin-turbo 2.5, at 400nm, is also the most torquiest engine that has become available for the d-max.

Sa China and Australia, 430Nm yung 4JJ1 nila, AFAIK Euro V na din sila. Pero tayo pa lang yata after Thailand and gumagamit ng Blue Power moniker. ☺

Oh yeah, i forgot that one pero the bump in torque for the 4jj1 was only recent diba? Now at least nasa more than 400nm mark na pala ang torque niya. Kaso kung ano yung mapupunta satin na other countries had before, sila din naman magkakaroon ng bagong update sa engine hehe. So parang pasahan lang nangyari.

What i meant is that what they had before, like the 4jj1-tcx with 380nm torque, is what is passed or offered by isuzu to our market now while the other countries receive the euro v/vi rendition of the engine more or less at the same time that already has 430nm torque. Of course, they're still the same engine but the previous rendition of the engine is what i'm pointing out when i said na parang pasahan ang nangyari.

Isuzu has been pretty agressive lately sa PHL. Siguro when we become euro 5, we'll get the 430nm na din. 😊

I still remember the current d-max when it was just new way back in 2013. Kakalabas lang niya tapos 3.0 ang engine pero it turns out na yun pala yung dating 3.0 na non-vgs with 146hp lang haha.

Ngayon, mukang napupursige silang humabol dahil sa competition kaya naglabas na sila ng update which they call the bluepower series na naka-6 speed nadin for the mu-x lol.

Considering how the competition's prices have gone up already, IMO ok lang yung price increase.

3 years ago, sobrang sulit ng 2.5 A/T * 1.358M, ngayong 211K na and dinagdag, tingin ko worth it naman, new engine, refined interior, improved NVH, new styling plus new features, sulit pa din yung 2018 mu-X.

I was expecting a major interior overhaul sana for the facelift, wala naman masama sa current design pero medyo dated lang talaga tignan. Naiinggit lang ako sa dashboard ng twin niya. 😂
