hi mga katsikot, I've been reading ds forum since last year fr page 1 to d newest page & follow it ever since(dami ko natutunan)...
I'm still torn between 2.5 & 3.0... I will use mux mostly for long road trip on provincial rd... ur input is much appreciated...

Mga Sir, ask ko lng may drain ba ung water reservoir pra sa washer ng mux 3.0 LS-A 4x2? wala kasi sa manual eh pati ang hrap makita yung water level nakatago kasi sa extreme left side ng engine pmsok na sa may fender eh.

hehe... nag-siphon (sip-sip hose) method nalang ako neto then replaced with distilled water.

Ano top speed sa 3.0 at 2.5 mga sir? Curious lang kasi ako about sa mga top speed ng mga sasakyan. Hehe

AT 2.5. On xpressways kapag nakabwelo na, cruising 80kph * 1500rpm and 100kph * 1900-2k rpm.
Top speed? Depende sa lakas ng loob ng driver at willingness to risk safety.
May nakapag-Batangas Racing circuit na kaya ng MU-X dito sa atin?

Hello MuXers, new here so pardon me if this question has already been asked. Nadiscuss na ba yung mga anti-theft measures for spare tire? i had mine stolen just recently, tanggal pati kadena. I am wondering if the Mu X tire cover that are sold for P5k will in any way prevent spare tire theft? Or kailangan pa din ng spare tire lock? Meron bang ganun for Mu X? I know for a fact that there is a tire lock for the Fortuner worth P3.5k. Thanks in advance.

Di ko na tinanggal yung original chain sir, nagdagdag na lang ako ng mas makapal na chain pa.

Compared to Montero, Mu-X is way much fuel efficient; around 2-2.5km/L difference. Though my experience is limited only for the 4x2 AT 5-speed variants.
(NOTE: same route, same day/time range, same driver, several instances)

If I may add lang sir, kung concerned ka sa fuel efficiency, I assume that budget/cost of operating the car is of major concern (same as me). If you're planning to have your unit maintained in casa, try to research din po sa maintenance costs.

I got my unit Feb. 2 but it's only now I got to log-in again.

Initial impressions about my 3.0 4x2:
1. Much much quieter engine than my old ride, a Mitsu. Adventure;
2. I'm very satisfied with its riding comfort, not sedan-like but comfortable nonetheless;
3. It was so easy overtaking with it, even while climbing the steep roads of Nueva Vizcaya;
4. 2K rpm at around 115 kph, not bad;
5. My babies are loving the roof mounted LCD;

Just some questions:
1. Is there a need for our ride to drink only turbo-diesels or do ordinary diesel fuels suffice? I ask this because my fuel allowance allows only for regular diesel. I fully filled my tank with turbo diesel from Isuzu Alabang to the province, but what remained has been mixed with ordinary diesel ever since. As for power delivery, i can't make distinctions. Parang pareho lang.

2. Is there a rubber dish-mat type car-mat dedicated for our ride such that contact points are fully covered? If there is, where?

Wala. Spray mo lang ng spray, angat mo yung wiper blades habang ginagawa. Pahinga mo siguro ng mga 1 minute in between 30 second sprays para hindi masunog yung motor ng wiper washer. Mauubos din yan hehe!

Ano top speed sa 3.0 at 2.5 mga sir? Curious lang kasi ako about sa mga top speed ng mga sasakyan. Hehe

2.5 LSM fastest I did was 175 km/h (GPS) sa speedometer 180km/h na. From 165km/h medyo mabagal na sya umakyat ng speed halos mga 30 seconds din yata before getting to 175km/h.

Best advice I can give you: don't park sa alanganin. As much as possible, park near mall entrances, park with the rear facing the tire guard para masikip doon sa ilalim. I only use a bike lock type chain. Kung nanakawin kasi yan, kahit naka spare tire lock pa yan na tig-p1500, kaya nila baklasin yan.

Congrats!

1. Same lang yan, nagkaiba lang sa additive. I find "premium" diesels faster to burn, kaya stick to normal diesel lang ako. Just go to a gas station na alam mong di binabaha at hindi madaya ang pump.

Hehehe share ko lng mga k mu-x sa experience ko dito with my previous car ...about sa paglagay ng liquid refill na nabibili sa mga car accessories this is what I observe my chemicals sya n nakaka sira ng rubber sa loob ng reservoir which can cause in the long run magiging brittle yung rubbers and will cause leak....mas maigi pa siguro plane mineral water na lang just sharing....

I have 2.5 4x4 .. inakyat ko sa sagada fully loaded (7 passengers) .. malakas naman humatak.. nakakapag overtake pa kahit paakyat (naiinis ako sa revo na mausok at nahirapan umakyat kaya binarurot ko si mux hehehe)

I find 2.5 a balance between highway and traffic in terms of fuel consumption specially kung palagi ka nadaan sa metro manila.. or kahit saang city na medyo traffic
