Ry_Tower, may maipagmamalaki ka pa sa Pajero na yan. Lumalamon ng dumi yan. Walang pinipiling fuel. Inaawitan ko nga ang FM pajero ng friend ko eh. Ayaw ibigay. Sobrang reliable daw.
I really don't get how people (even journalists na hindi pa nga na ttest drive) nag cclaim na underpowered yun.

They think they know better than Isuzu themselves when the company has been in the powertrain industry for decades already? How about the Elf, Giga, Gala?

0-100 kmh of 2.2 everest took 13+ seconds din

Baka daw kasi i-modify mo tapos inggitin mo siya.

I also remember yung punto ni dmac na isuzu publishes yung actual torque. Hindi yung computed torque. Kaya iba talaga feeling nung nasubukan mo idrive at yung spec sheets lang.

Plus yung published calim din nila na 500,000kms (B10) rating nanag engine, it shows na may dahilan bakit detuned siya. For reliability and efficiency talaga.

yes a 500Nm 200Hp SUV is nice to have but for its purpose, the MuX's hp and torque rating should not be a deal-breaker. Looks, driving dynamics, cabin space, gadgets and toys puwede pa kasi baka need talaga yun.

Even the top speed halos pareho lang sa suppossed na malalakas na SUV. Eh bakit ganun kung underpowered. hehehe

Croswind/hilander underpowered kung compared sa CRDi na innova. Pero during it's time in the 90's. Best in class yan. hehehe

yup most of the mid sized suv naman po ay naka pako na sa 180 kmh topspeed dahil mabilis na po un sa mga mid size suv, and tingin ko din parehas lang nilang maabot ang topspeed with the same span of time, although on paper mas mataas power figures ng everest mas mabigat naman ng d hamak to kaya wala din naman palang advantage in terms of real world performance against the mux 2.5 vgs.

sabi nga nila importante ang power to weight ratio.

Agree, compared sa modern Innova siguro oo pero for hauling and longevity hands down 4JA1 pa din.

I actually find our Hi-Lander better than our A/T mu-X when accelerating from standstill. Ang lakas pa din ng hatak. Hehe.

Medyo OT, now that they have a new small turbodiesel, no reason not to develop an Innova fighter na.

They were asking for 2100 sa isuzu cavite for a full front tint. I declined. Pagawa ko nalang sa iba.

DON’T BIGGER ENGINES USE MORE FUEL?

A common misconception is that a bigger engine means you are using more fuel. In fact, for MU-X, the opposite is true. The larger 3.0L engine capacity means the MU-X can generate more power when you need it, without over-stressing the engine. This makes the MU-X more fuel efficient as well as more reliable.
