Is it normal for dealerships to put there brand new cars outside in open air rain or shine? I can't wait for tomorrow tuloy to save her.

Rain / Shine not an issue, worse is that maputik na yung fenders and milage is on the high side of double digit. That's the bad side of IPC unlike others , never pa ako naka experience ng maybahid na ng putik ang fender or milage beyond single digit. IPC make's you a 2nd hand buyer.

Eto yung sinasabi nila na it feels more powerful versus the paper specs.

So to answer your question, yes the mux is more responsive at low rpm, actually up to 3.5krpm.

Yes the vgt strada and turbo lag is really felt. Power kicks in late in the rpm band.

By the way, first hand experience and observations ito ha. I owned a Strada Glx-V and found it really shitty to drive down low rpm (then the power will aggressively kick in.....too late after you realized its dangerous to overtake already). Its a good thing I got rid of that crappy, stalling, smoke belching piece of dung (sorry naalala ko lang ownership ko). Now we also had a 3.2 Montero non vgt and that's a different story. Nice to drive.
    Ah ok.

Kaya pla naririnig ko din sa ibang owners na it's more thirsty compared to the 2.5s of other brands because siguro nga dahil sa turbo lag. Naaalala ko din na ang stated peak torque range nun sa paper is from 1800-3500rpm, which is false naman pala hehe.

Anyway, since responsive ang 2.5 MU-X, more so siguro ang 3.0, which might be similar to the 3.0 fort. Bargain talaga ang 3.0 4x2 at P1.4m, which comes with almost all features of the 4x4 aside from the 4wd.

IMO, the difference in FC of the two engines may not be that large because, kahit mas malaki ang 3.0 sa 2.5, mas powerful naman sya. Therefore, it's less stressed than the latter in carrying the body of the MU-X. I think that can affect the FC. Pero I believe na matipid din yung 3.0 kasi matipid naman ang alterra na 4JJ1 din ang engine, which my dad owned before though it's not VGS.

Sir as what ive seen knina in their open air gravel backyard maputik yung fenders ng unit ko but i wasnt able to open the unit and take a look inside sinilip ko lng from the outside. Do you mean having a double digit odometer reading like for example 10 kms is unacceptable already? What is an acceptable odometer reading range for a brand new car?

I got mine with 69kms. Normal na yan. Kesa naman naka baklas odometer habang byahe tapos di mo alam kung saan saan na nagpunta, like what many Toyota and Mitsubishi dealers do.

May dealer nga na nagpatest drive sakin ng Fortuner binaklas pa nila yung odometer para di mag log ng kms habang test drive namin. More or less yung mileage naman na yan is yung travel from IPC plant to your dealership.

As what others adviced earlier, basta upon acceptance inspect mo mabuti para alam nila then aayusin naman nila if ever may scratches or what not.

Well, what is acceptable is really up to you. Ang IPC kasi, they run the cars directly to deliver sa casa while others use truckers to transport the unit. From Thailand, the ship dock's in Batangas and from there they drive it to their stock yard in Calamba and from Calamba to the dealer. So kung ang dealer is in Baguio, just imagine how long that travel can be. At that point, do you still you've bought a brand new car or a used one?

Ako upfront sa SA, dapat single digit lang ang odo pagturn over sa akin, pag lumampas hindi ko kukunin. Kaya malinaw ang instruction ko as part of the buying deal. Pati pang ilalim dapat walang mantsa ng putik.

Just normal. Ang napansin ko lang sa unit namin ngayun, hindi clear ang glasses kapag pinunasan compared to our other ride which was glass detailed 7 years ago, siguro dahil narin sa katagalan na exposed sa sun/rain.

Yes, most cars may ganitong stage ng buhay nila unless Ferrari, Rolls Royce, etc yung brand nya. Naka bilad lang talaga sila sa arawan at minsan talahiban pa sa may Batangas pier o sa open warehouse nila.
