Let's start with the SUV's powertrain. The 2022 mu-X will come with two turbo-diesel engines. Like the D-Max, the all-new SUV is available with either a 1.9-liter RZ4E or the more powerful 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX. The former makes 150 PS with 350 Nm of torque, while the latter generates 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque.

When it comes to transmission choices, a 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes are available for the new mu-X. Last but not least, 4WD is available on the LS-E, while the LS and LS-A models will only come in RWD.

Despite having a total of five variants, Isuzu made sure the mu-X comes with some standard features across the range. All variants come with LED headlights and taillights, LED daytime running lights, a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a navigation system, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, and rear A/C vents.

All mu-X models also come loaded with an abundance of safety features. It gets anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, brake override system, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, front skid plate, oil pan guard, and a fuel tank protector.

It wouldn't be all-new if the 2022 mu-X didn't come with a wide array of new features. LED foglights are standard on the 3.0L LS-A and LS-E models, along with an 8-speaker sound system (lesser variants get 6-speakers), a 220V power socket on the top-spec variants, a power tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, and walk-away auto door locks.

But perhaps the most high-tech upgrade the mu-X received is the addition of ADAS. Much like the D-Max, the SUV now comes with a suite of smart safety systems. These include forward-collision warning, autonomous emergency brake, pedal misapplication mitigation, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, and a multi-collision brake system.

The intelligent safety system is only available on the range-topping 4x2 and 4x4 LS-E models of the 2022 mu-X.

With the amount of equipment the all-new mu-X has received, it looks like the Isuzu has a winner on their hands. But does it translate to value for money when compared to its (tentative) prices? We'll find out once IPC officially launches the all-new mu-X in the country.

Yes pero despite that, isuzu has come a long way sa mga ppvs nila. Hindi ko sure kung inilabas rito dati yung unang mu/wizard nung 90s. Baka alterra na ata pero with the second gen mu-x, it made it look nonexistent or forgettable. Masyado kasing agricultural yung hitsura unlike its rivals back then, although nasama ata siya sa top 10 best-selling models nung 2006. Yung trooper naman kasi sirain at hindi siya based sa fuego pickup nila. Kaya major feat tong new platform ng d-max sa brand na known for its utilitarian roots lol. Tapos may paddle shifters (mu-x) which is mostly first for the marque.

Baka alterra na ata pero with the second gen mu-x, it made it look nonexistent or forgettable.
