ito rin reklamo ko sa tucson thetaII ko.. maingay pag cold start. normal lang daw sabi sa Hyundai Dasma. Nagsample pa nga kami ng ibang unit na nandun same lang din engine sound. sana nga normal lang talaga...

mine din maingay kapa cold start, pina check kona rin sa casa sabi nila normal lang daw yun.

yun kia sportage maingay din kaya? alam ko same lang sila nang engine theta II.

sir JJB, iniwan nyo po ba sa casa yun unit nyo for several weeks while waiting for replacement compressor? replaced po ba with new compressor or repair lang din?

Finally my burnt compressor's replacement arrived a week ago! Probably I waited roughly 5-6weeks for a replacement, a month early from estimate arrival. What I can say is that I talked extensively with the service agent and maybe he was able to find a part for me! The best talaga ang Pasig branch. If it was HARI's part that the compressor arrived a month early, thanks too. Though I'd still rate HARI's service so-so since you shouldnt leave your customer's car with no aircon for a month. Dapat always ready for any part that can break down.
Oh, my aircon has always been cold at maximum even if my car has no tint. too cold in fact that's why thermostat's 1-2 notches lower.

naka schedule ako next week for PMS ask ko ulit sila kung normal engine noise kapag cold start.

sige sir papost na lang po kung anung sabi ng mechanic nila..

anu po palang gamit mong engine oil? yung HGMO po ba?

Fellow Tsikoteers,

My left front tire/suspension whenever I run or getting thru a hump or gutter meron syang "plock" sounds. Normal ba yun? dahil ba yun sa front stabilizer? I had a Lancer and a Sorento before pero wala naman akong nararamdamang "plock" sound sa kanila especially kung dadaan ako ng humps or concrete gutter eh.

Appreciate your comment/advice.

Sabi nang SA ko normal lang daw yun engine noise kapag cold start at sa iba din ganun din daw, sana nga normal lang yun engine noise natin..

Sabi nang SA ko normal lang daw yun engine noise kapag cold start at sa iba din ganun din daw, sana nga normal lang yun engine noise natin..

bakit nung pinagcompare ko dun sa isang tucson sa casa nung maaga ko dumating for check up, tahimik kahit malamig

at kakastart pa lang ng engine niya for checklist...

yung akin naman valve tappet replacement, claim sa warranty...

ask ko ulit this weekend since may papacheck din ako sa kanila...

Just came from e.rod this afternoon. binawasan na nila yung oil and the deep vibration at high revs has gone away na. But reading through the last replies, looks like to cold start noise is a normal thing for our theta IIs.

Now I'll start measuring my fuel economy again. Over last 1000 kms, my fuel economy has averaged at 5.36km/L lang; most of the 1000km was city driving but with the over-filled oil. Now na nabawasan na, hopefully FC will improve.

Does anyone else with a Theta II get as bad a fuel economy as I'm getting?

yes sir gamit ko HGMO. ayaw kasi pumayag yun E. Rod na magdala ako nang sariling oil.

sa Pasig din ayaw.. dati before namin nabili yung tucson sabi pwede daw magdala ng sariling oil may corkage fee lang na babayaran..

ngayon hindi na pwede.... so kahit walang kwenta yung oil nila mapipilitan ka yun ipalagay mo kapag PMS.. badtrip!

san dealer kaya pwede magdala ng sariling oil? sa Hyundai Las pinas ata pwede kaso ang layo...

Nung break in period pa yung Sportage Theta II namin 6km/L lang ang FC. Ngayon umaabot na ng 8km/L city. 7.5km/L average.

2 weeks ago nagpa-20,000km PMS na ako sa Las Pinas, Motul CRDi Specific ginamit kong oil. Ako nagdala ng parts and oil.

5.5-7km/li ako, house to office... moderate to heavy traffic..

14km/li ako sa SLEX, 100-120km/hr .. kapag eco mode 15-16km/li..

Petron XCS ang fuel. average speed is around 60km/h everyday.

dati madalas ako pumunta sa 5th ave cal, mga 5pm alis na ako from binondo to cal.. average fc naglalaro lang nang 4.5km/l to 5km/l and average speed ko 8km/h to 10km/h lang dahil madalas ma traffic and maraming sirang kalsada.

today bihira na lang ako pumunta sa cal, average fc ko naglalaro na nang 6km/l to 7.3km/l, once ko lang naabot yun 8km/l yun fc ko nun madalas na ako sa MOA madalas light to moderate lang yun traffic.

pero lately, pansin ko parang nag iba yun fc ko cguro malapit na ako mag PMS that time. after ko mag pa PMS kahapon icheck ko ulit yun fc kung nag improve na.

Pa-input lang kasi nagpapa-20K pms ako ngayon (hehe). Just have a few questions/concerns:

1.) ang mahal! abot na ata ako ng 15K+ for the 20k PMS. How much average price sa iba? (Car is tucson thetaII btw).

2.) SA advised me na kelangan daw palitan na yung brake pads. opted not to have this done yet. for those na nag 20K pms na, nagpalit na rin ba kayo? if ever i really do need to change, can you suggest brands ng brake pads na pwede pamalit (parang ayoko na nung OEM because of the noise and dust). Any suggestions on where i can have these installed? (ayoko na sa casa for this simple procedure)

3.) On a positive note, was able to get a warranty claim on the brake light switch at pinapalitan na rin. i dunno if i was lucky kasi may available part or baka mas ok lang talaga yung service sa branch na ito (Q ave). i complained about this sa last pms ko at e.rod, ni-remedyohan lang daw nila kasi wala pang part. ayun, bumalik yung problem.

sir, sa e. rod ako nag pa PMS umabot ako sa 10.3k+.

parts na pinalitan;
1. air filter element
2. oil filter
3. spark plug
4.gasket oil plug

labor nasa 7.5k+
scope of works
1. brake cleaning
2. tight suspension
3. power train ( dunno kung anong ginawa)
4. tire rotation
5. electrical

oil use Fully SYN Oil ang ginamit sa akin.

about sa brake pad makapal pa daw sa next PMS na nila icheck ulit and sa brake light switch hindi ko alam kung napalitan nila yun sa akin.

before kasi tumawag sa akin yun service na meron na akong replacement part nang brake light switch.. sabi ko sa 20k pms kona lang ipapakabit, since nun na release yun kotse hindi naman nagloloko yun pag shift sa P to N..

hmm okay. iba yung scope nila kasi pag 20K pms. kasama pati aircon cleaning, aircon filter, camber correction, etc. i guess kaya mas mahal. so sa 15K ba yung sayo? If i remember correctly, mga around 5K lang yung 15k pms ko
