Unlike the power/eco/normal switch, cruise control and steering audio contorls, the hill descent does not function out of the box, unfortunately. My understanding is that an additional module is required for it to work .

Re. cruise control, so far i see better FC readings when i use this on the highway (NLEX) versus manually controlling speed. With a fresh full tank of gas (resetting the km/l reading) and setting the speed at 110kph for roughly 60% of the way from San Simon to Mindanao Exit, the km/L reading was at 17km/l.

    Guys,

Need some help. I have a 2010 Hyundai Tucson (Gas). AC was working intermittently. Minsan bubukas...minsan hinde. Some times, I'll turn it on and the blower won't kick in until a few minutes later. Once it's on though, it works great. Very cool air.

Unfortunately, natuluyan na sya last week. It won't turn on anymore. A mechanic I talked to said "sakit talaga yan ng AC ng Tucson. Sira dyan yung module". Not sure what he meant by module.

    1. Anyone experienced this kind of dilemma with their Tucs? What could be wrong kaya?

    2. Where's the best AC shop I can go to for this kind of problem, preferably specialist with Hyundai's? Pasig/Kapitolyo or Mandaluyong area would be great.

I'm wary of taking it to the casa. Super taga sa presyo. One time they quoted P45K supposedly to fix my suspension issues. Brought it to Zafra and they just reconditioned it for P4.5K

    Thanks.

Once the AC goes, it's an expensive fix either way if you want the fix to be semi permanent.

Ganiyan din Starex namin. Nung una, minsan may malamig na hangin pa na lumalabas, after a while, laging mainit na.

You can try speedyfix. They aren't cheap but they do good work and they won't try to make you buy parts that you don't need.

Meron din I guess yung mga denso accredited shops.

Bring it to mang danny, he's the aircon specialist at seaoil shaw. Tapat ng Capitol 8 gate. Katabi lang ng kapitolyo.
    Good luck

    i don't tucson.
but your symptoms appear to be magnetic clutch, as jjb says.
it's was an easy fix for me, sir.
it took just a few minutes, and the aircon guys charged me a couple of hundred bucks.
they just remove a washer, para kumagat uli.

but if your clutch is shot, it will have to be replaced. i forget how much it cost me, years ago. but it's still a fraction of the cost of a new compressor.

    banawe.

Kung coil ng magnetic clutch ang problema pwede yan palitan ng Denso coil. Dalhin lang sample. 1.2k ata ang Denso coil (not sure).

    Guys,

Thanks for your inputs. I have an update on my AC problem...

Went to SeaOil Shaw and saw Mang Danny. Took him less than 5 mins to determine the issue.

Turned out to be a burnt rotor on the blower motor. He then made a few calls to a local auto shop to canvass the part. He then said sa Seiring na lang daw kami bumili para makamura.

He accompanied me to Seiring Araneta Ave, we bought the replacement motor (P1200 cheaper than auto shop) and he installed it right there at the store. Problem solved. He then offered to check the refrigerant level (it was low) and recharged it at no cost.

Thanks JJB for the referral. Mang Danny is truly legendary. A very simple, humble and unassuming guy but definitely knows his stuff. When I asked him how much I owed him he said "Bahala ka na sir. Simple lang naman yung problem nung AC mo". When I insisted he tell me, I was surprised at how low he was asking for his services. Masaya na raw sya nagawa nya yung AC ko. Nakaka-amaze lang because I surely would have spent a lot more if I took it to a regular shop.

So if you have any AC issues, pasilip nyo muna kay Mang Danny. He will tell you naman if it's beyond him or does not have the equipment to fix it. And if you're happy with his service, don't hesitate to give something extra. Super baba nya sumingil so pa-Consuelo nyo na lang yon sa kanya...tulong na din

You may reach Mang Danny at 09129646034. He said it was ok to give out his mobile. Apparently, he already has some regular customers from Tsikot.
