Mine is 2008 2.0 4wd (theres not much changes in the interiors with 2009) Just want to share my upgrades .

Added windvisor and door chrome trim...

Installed a GPS/DVD console (fits beautifully)

Installed Reverse parking sensors (pics later .. )

    Upgraded to leather seats ...

And installed 2 way alarm system, 3000 Meters Range

It became a habit for me to use the “manu-matic”. When just cruising or there is not much traffic, I normally use automatic mode. When there is build up of traffic and I anticipate frequent braking, it became a habit for me to flick to manual. This way I am able to regulate my speed to 2nd or 3rd gear and I don’t have to step on the brake too often.

In situation where I foresee myself slowing down, I immediately flick to manual and downshift so I don’t have to brake too hard.

In going downhill, again I flick to manual and downshift to 2nd or 3rd gear depending on condition. That way I can avoid stepping on the brake. When the road flattens then I switch to automatic.

I just am not sure if this is beneficial in the long run. I might be saving on my brake but I don’t know what is happening to my transmission.

Every 5000km ang PMS sa Hyundai. Ask your SA regarding oil duration, siguro fully synthetic kaya 10,000 since gasoline naman yan... Pero to be safe palit pa din IMO.

    Tucson 2WD CRDi traction accident?

Hi, last 3 weeks ago, it was raining quite hard along NLEX and I was following a Tucson very similar to mine just to check out how it looked. We were both running at 100kph and then suddenly the Tucson I was following slipped and span and passed 2 lanes and hit the bunker. I was stunned since that Tucson was just a meter away from me with my car just on the other lane. Luckily, I think there was no injury on the passenger of the other Tucson.

Since then, I kinda had lost my trust on the Tucson 2WD traction. We were both driving on a straight road with me just on the other lane. The only difference I could think of was that my tires were still new since I just had my Tucson last April. Does it have a traction control system? What are the safety featutres of the Tucson 2WD CRDi

Did you guys encounter problems with your Tucson during high speeds both in wet and dry conditions?

ingat na lang po talaga sir sa pagdrive kapag umuulan hindi po talaga advisable na mabilis patakbo lalo na kapag maulan. mas matagalan pa sa pagdating sa pupuntuhan kung nadisgrasya. kami po wala po kami brand new cars so i dont know the feeling ng may mga bagong feature regarding sa brake systems. i only own 93 Corolla GLI and yun nga po advise mabagal patakbo. peace!

Well the 2WD has no torque split but I believe may ABS naman yan. Basta always be careful its not the Tucson's fault its the driver's fault kaya he skided. He was running too fast for the situation.
