June 1st, 2009 08:03 PM #1292Hi all,
Is it really true na wala na yung CVVT gas variant? We're exploring to get one sana - as my wife would like to replace our current Everest for this one (since mas smaller yet SUV pa rin).
Anyone knows where I can look for one? I just went to Hyundai Fort and sabi nga nila, matagal na raw walang CVVT and puro CRDI na lang available.
Or you might know also of shops that can trade in my Everest for this Tucson.
thanks.

hello kintsay!
according to the latest pricelist of hyundai, the tucson cvvt variant is still available but better check with the dealership to make sure.
as to trade-ins, what i know is that kia has the biggest appraisal. get the kia sportage instead and trade-in your everest.

June 7th, 2009 06:52 AM #1295Good morning!
New memebr here, just signed up. I got a new CRDi 4x2 variant just late yesterday afternoon from the dealer. Will take this for a long drive this morning. I'd say it has enough power and torque given the engine's specs. It was a good purchase, value for money, as compared to the other vehicles in it's class which cost at least 15-20% more.
Just one question, would anyone know wher i could get hold of some body parts like front bumper guards with a pair of integrated fog lamps, rear baggage net, skid plates in black power coating and an affordable roof rack cross rail? The dealer said they would still have to check this out and would advise me, but i am sure that prices would be exhorbitantly high.
thanks!

Anybody replaced their batteries already? What size is it? Only thing I know is that the poles are reversed. Mine needs replacing soon (after 3 and a half years).

I've replace mine several months already, its size is 3SM, i never notice the poles are reversed, i just place the new battery same orientation as the old battery. Everything works fine until now... do you mean our tucson have reversed polarity? Positve cable should attach to negative pole of the battery and negative to positve?

June 20th, 2009 12:59 AM #1300hi guys newbie here!
tomorrow, i'm going to hyundai global city para magdown for a tucson crdi 2wd! yiheee! super excited na ako since this will be my first vehicle!
i was supposed to get an Innova J diesel and i already made the downpayment for it. however, one day when me and my wife were strolling around SM, we saw a display of the tucson. my wife was the one who insisted to take a look at the tucson. i was not that interested because i have already made a downpayment for the innova. para hindi na kami mag away, pinagbigyan ko siya na tignan yung naka display na tucson. damn! nung nakita ko nanlumo ako kasi sana yun na lang yung kinuha ko nung una pa. features, amenities, panalo ang tucson, sasakyan na lang. unlike the innova J that i was planning right after madeliver sakin, palalagyan ko ng central lock, alarm, backing sensor, etc... even though mas mahal yung tucson, they're offering it for a very low downpayment, even lower that what i have paid for the innova. monthly amortization was not really a big difference against the innova, and my wife offered to me that she will part out an amount of money if i'll get the tucson because she prefers it over the innova. i was so confused on what to do. i thought about it, since there was no sign that the innova will be delivered soon, i made up my mind that i'll refund my money from toyota and i'll be getting the tucson . i know that kawawa naman yung kausap ko na sales rep sa toyota pero that was my money. i believe that i have the right to change my mind since ang tagal madeliver ng innova. if the scenario was andiyan na sa harap ng bahay namin yung sales rep to deliver the innova, there's no way i can back out and cancel the transaction. i also had a problem with the dealership because i was not informed the first time that the lead time for the innova can take up to 1-2 months. they only informed me about it when i was on the process of getting my refund (trying to save the sale). sana nung una pa lang sinabi na nila sakin para nakatingin pa ako ng ibang sasakyan na possible ko bilihin.
i feel so sorry for the sales rep but they also made a mistake by not informing me that there's a shortage of stocks on the innova.
anyway, please convince me that i made the right choice....but i believe i did!
Better to buy the similar-era clone starex 4x4 (not sure lang if local or imported but original lhd...
