My family was also at Ilocos (Norte) on the last weekend of October and saw 2 SFs.
The other one was a black SF owned by the Farinas according to my Sis in Law.
While the other one was parked in front of Fort Ilocandia.

Additive is a no-no esp on such a new engine.
Honestly, I didn't know about this. I didn't ask them to add an additive like X1R. This is learning lesson for SF owners who are going for the 1K PMS.
I tried to ask the SA about the X1R but per their experience, there are more satisfied customers than the sorry ones. Ayos lang naman raw ang X1R. Mas mainam na ginawa nila 5 years ang warranty para sa wear and tear kung meron man. Ang napansin ko lang na right after the 1K PMS, the gear shifting was more dynamic than before. Napakadali mag shift ng gear at noon in heavy traffic parang naka 3rd palagi. After the service it can easily shift to 4 with the same driving condition at parang mas relax ang makina kaya nag improve ang FC. I don't know the effect of the additive to the wear and tear but performance wise may pinagbago to the + side dahil ang lakas ng hatak.
I still have to read it all. But I think I'll have a serious look on this next time my SF goes for the next service. There could be some exceptions but to believe in additives is actually a risk. Hindi natin alam kung kaninong "interest" these informations like in the link above could benefit. Surely the consumer will benefit in the long run of course. But there's another document though quite dated, discussing about the product X1R - a test by a Helsinki Technical University

di ko lang gets correct me if im wrong ha

You made a point and I am starting to seriously think about it. So what's the point of putting it in older engines?
Our Hyudai Starex tci * Hyundai Makati - Cousin Starex tci * Hyundai Laguna
1st 1000 PMS
Makati
Change engine oil lang ginawa plus the usual checks. (5.5 liters of oil)
Laguna
Change engine oil (6.5 liters of oil)
Change transmission & deferential oil.
Up to now pag change oil ako e 5.5 liters pa rin nilalagay ko, e sakto naman talaga sya.

might be ordering a santa fe soon... latest would be next week. sold my car already so i need to make up my mind. tried reading this thread but it's already 2am and it's more than a hundred pages long. i just have a few questions:
1. What's the fuel consumption of a 4x2 diesel SF? a 4x4 diesel SF? city driving and highway driving.
2. have there been common SF problems/complaints here?
3. Where's the best place to buy one? what freebies/deals will they give?
thanks
