I'm an Accent HB 7DCT owner and I have not had any problems so far (knock on wood). I would think any member here having similar DCT problems such as the one in the link you postedd would have laready started shouting about the problem here if there ever was. I for one, if i encounter any problem however small about my DCT, I would have already posted about it here. People more often post problems rather than praises. So far mine has been all good. in fact, i was an "automatic car snob" before but driving the DCT has changed my outlook on an "automatic". I have seen several other DCT owners here and I'm pretty sure they have no problems with their units too... otherwise they would have already posted here. I do hope such DCT problem never happen to me though. FIngers crossed.
Heck, their steering wheels are also tilt-collapsible. Swerte nung mga nakabili nung introductory pa especially yung mga buyers ng A/T nung 858k pa lang siya and complete with 16" mags. Yung mga 2014 up na MT wala na and fixed pa ang steering column.
^ Thanks sa input. How's the brake feel on the accent?

PS. I'm not an Korean fan, we also have Jap and American Car.
Good input. Still thinking if it will be worth it. She wouldn't drive more than 7 kms daily and the turbo might just be a liability in the long run. She's also not comfortable riding smallish cars in the highway so it wouldn't see highway travel unless I use it

It does not look and feel smallish in the highway at all. And when she starts to reach highway speeds, the power feels like you're driving a bigger car. As for the turbo, as long as the owner is aware of the cool-down method especially when coming from the highway or going uphill in parking garages, it will last you the car's ownership life. Those complaints with the turbo started with taxis in the previous gen and your guess is as good as mine on how taxi drivers drive their units and their knowledge on diesels are only for natually aspirated mechanical indirect injected ones. The private owners whom I personally know did not have any issues with the turbo. Same with me, I sold my previous gen crdi at almost 70k kms. Its engine and turbo ran like it was during its lower mileage times. Correct approach on maintenance and usage lang.
My gripe about the current gen accent diesel (whether hatch or sedan) is the seat comfort at tbe back row since it's too upright for me and the seat is too low, like near the floorboard.
Thanks again for the input. Its true though, you don't hear much issues with the accent compared with hyundai's bigger cars. At least with the last generation

Hi, fellow 2014 Accent HB M/T (second hand) owner here and new to this thread.
1. Mud guards, any leads (price and supplier). May inaalok si Wheels Inc. 4 pcs for 2,500 including installation though.
2. Cheaper supplier ng fog lamps please?
3. For fully synthetic oil users, any reviews ng gamit ninyo? Im due na for 20kms.
4. Still keeping your 16s OEM mags (2013 models)? PM me.
Salamat! Sorry I cant backread right now, browser tends to crash.
Welcome to Tsikot sir and congratulations on your Accent Hatch!
For answers on questions 1 and 2: ask our korean parts suppliers Goodgear, Seiring and Fronte.
question 3:I use Zic X7 10w40 fully synthetic oil. It's just a little over 1k for a 6L jug. I still change it every 5k kms. Very affordable oil pero maganda yung quality.
question 4: I just purchased 2nd hand 16" OEM mags for my hatch too. Medyo madalang yung nagbebenta nito. hehe
1. Also looking for OEM mudguards
2. Dito sa Batangas province, sa pagkakatanda ko eh around 3k yung foglamps ko pero yung switch nya eh hindi sa stalk switch ang kabit, may separate na switch
3. I used Total First Gold 5w30, and now Shell Helix Ultra Diesel 5w40. Mas gusto ko gamitin ang Shell.
4. Also looking for 16s OEM.
How would you rate the Casa service of your Accent CRDI?

i'm looking to upgrade it's Steering wheel to include the controls for the radio.
(volume control on the left side / up and down arrows on the right side)
it's a 2014 Hatchback A/T
Can anyone point me to the right direction.
Thanks!
RE: Mudguards, if your not that picky, brand conscious, try to order from ebay, i once ordered a set for about $10. It came from hongkong, had to wait 4weeks before i got the notice to pick it up from the post office.
