http://www.sharkracing.com/acecart/b...cate=012100000 sonata aftermarket parts :-)
first FC measurement: 7.25 km/l all city driving, mixed traffic and speed bursts. not bad, and i read from other reports that it averages 6.5 km/l city driving.
my only complaint is that shifting manually has a significant delay of a second or two. auto shifting seems to be better but a quicker response time when manual shifting would be great.
happy new year everyone![]()
Hi Guys,
Need your advice on the tint you'd recommend to get the look above.Major consideration is really visibility, especially at night. Second of course is heat rejection. The dealer is offering Vkool tints as a freebie. Though I'm not really sure what line or shade I should tell them to put in for the windshield, sunroof, etc.
Thanks in advance!
I'm not sure with regards to Vkool's lineup. But simply put, you're looking at a flat black tint to get the look above.
If we were to divide tint technology into three:
1. Non-metallic
2. Metallic
3. Clear
Nonmetallic is the most common. This gives you that flat black image you're looking for. Visibility is inverse of heat rejection.
Metallic tints are those tints with nano technology that infuses the tints with micro-metallic particles for better heat rejections. Some say that they interfere with radio/GPS/cellphone waves but I've no problem with it. Close-up, they looks like a mirror.. but if seen farther away, it would resemble non-metallic tints.
Finally, the clear type of tints are often the most expensive. These gives you the best visibility and a high heat rejection grade. Of course, don't pick you nose while in traffic since kitang kita ka.
If you are looking for looks, you'll be looking at the nonmetallic tints. I got 3M's metallic tint for heat rejection purposes without sacrificing too much in terms of nighttime visibility but I do sometimes get annoyed while looking at the windows since I like them flat black from end-to-end.
Clear tints don't really fit the Sonata. Have seen one... and never liked it.
As for the difference of heat rejection between metallic and non-metallic... let's just say that to achieve the same heat rejection in non-metallics, I'll won't be seeing anything at night using my rear view mirror (typically around BC5/10). I'm on BC20 by the way.
Thanks for the reply! Did a little bit of research and basically scratched off clear - because everyone can see inside, and metallic - because of possible interference and HU reflection at night.
This leaves me with nonmetallic tint at around 35% for everything except the windshield. Planning to use 50% for that. Do think this is a good balance between visibility and heat rejection given that the Sonata Premium has solar control windows?
By the way, did you have your sunroof tinted as well?
Thanks!
Hi Guys, the long wait is over for me. Finally got my hyper metallic from EJ of Hyundai Dasma yesterday! Excellent service, EJ!
Congrats! I'm sorry for not replying to the previous message. Ngayon ko lang nakita
Hmm, I'm thinking of aftermarket wheels na nga eh. Any thoughts on how not to lower the car (we got pretty annoying humps sa village) but close the fender gap? Nahihirapan ako maghanap ng 20" na wheels :D
May nagkaproblem ba sa inyo sa rear sensor. Tunog ng tunog kahit wala namang nasa likod. Last week ko lang kasi nakuha sonata ko, meron bang easy troubleshoot dito or kailangan talaga casa? Pangasinan pa kasi ako and sa q. Ave ko pa nakuha unit ko.
baka putol or loose wiring o kaya baka may scotch tape yung eye ng sensor! if putol or loose wiring, puede pa warranty yan sa Hyundai Dagupan.
Hello to all sonata owners! baka meron interested sa sonata sports grille (chrome/plastic). here's my contact number 09228391717 thank you!
