2011 Hyundai Sonata / YF

This is such a beauty....hints of benz, Mazda, and Volvo, but neither of them.

When will this come out here locally? And how much do you guys think this will be priced here?

*noobskie: Yeah they actually are...and they're doing a good job at it, too...their only dilemma for now is the transition of buyers from other well-known brands into buying Hyundai Sonata or Genesis. It sure has worked well for them for their lower-end models such as the Getz, Tucson, etc. But for the higher end models going against benz, Volvo, Volkswagen, I'm not so sure yet how it will fair locally. Sonata is a nice car, but not so sure how people will welcome it locally.

Quite intriguing for me IMHO...such a nice car theoretically and in the photos, I wonder how it will be personally...hmmm...

with the current price of sonata 1.3M+ the top of the line could be between 1.5M-1.6M...size probably close to camry with its new design,new engine 2.4L for 194hp,6 speed a/t transmission huh!...sweet!!

Wow lalabas na ang YF Sonata sa Philippines at ang una nilang ilalabas dito ay yung 2.4 Liter GLS Premium variant at nasa 1.588M Pesos lang!

May base variant lang na nasa 1.378M Pesos lang!

Guys, if you were to get a sonata which color would you want and why...crystal white or hyper metallic??? Am having a dilemma which one to choose...help please. Thanks

Actualy, crystal white and hyper metallic are also my two top choices. Ended up with the white since I'm really a monocolor guys (black and white are my top color selections). However, everytime I see a Hyper metallic, I still turn my head just to check it out. Regarding experience on the road, they're more or less equal. Madami na ako nakitang white, madami na ring metallic. Frankly, once palang ako nakakita ng red.

They are both stunning colors! Placed an order for a white one because the wife wants that color. Even went to a dealer this afternoon to check out the hyper metallic, timing din since a white sonata was was just parked outside. Parehong maganda, mas eye catching nga Lang yung white under direct sunlight because of the pearl effect. I still have Monday to finalize. I expect to have this new baby latest by Friday next week

Just got my plates and went through 1000 pms. So far I'm pretty happy with the performance except some quirks on the wind noise at high speeds. Also put 3M tint yesterday including clear film for the sunroof. H ad to replace the horn since, unruly bus drivers seem unfazed with the faint beeps of the stock one. Am really impressed with the sonata and it's getting more ride time than the sf. Time to floor this ***y beast...pewee na humataw!

mga guys, i came home today, parked my sonata and saw mist/fog inside both of my headlight assemblies, badtrip, i know this is not normal and no mist/water should be inside those assemblies, may mga naka experience na ba na ganito sa 2011 sonata?
any suggestions?

None for me so far. Looks like an unsealed assembly. You can DIY it if you're knowledgeable. For the rest of us, take it to the casa and have them take a look at it.

I notice that sunroof assembly makes this squeaking sound inside between the headliner. Di naman masyado malakas but more obvious when radio is off. Charriol kid mentioned this in a previous post, tolerable but slightly irritating. Any similar experience?

None with me. Rather, I have a squeaking sound at the back near the C-pillars, but I do think it's due to my sound setup.
