Yup, that's resetting the ECU. That's sort of an instantaneous way of having the computer re-check its parameters. This is also done when you make some upgrades/mods. Instead of having the ECU 'learn' the new mods over time, you are putting it to sleep and slapping it awake right away.
Has anyone tried this already? Any update?
I travelled from Sto. Tomas to Vigan. Had full tank (sagad up to apaw) and when I arrived in Vigan, still had 3 bars left. Hataw mode pala to.
In the monitor I had 7.6L/100Km ~ 13.15Km/L.
While city driving here in Vigan, my FC is at 11.3L/100Km ~ 8.85Km/L
Is this consumption normal?
My Odo now is 860+, so nearing my 1st PMS. I plan to have it done in Hyundai Laoag, any elantra owners who have experience in Laoag?
Cause I plan to use semi-synthetic oil.
Appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
Yes it's true. You can do that sa mga de-ECU. Sa Honda naman wala na kailangan gawin na iba just disconnect the negative pole.
Sa Hyundai ganun din, disconnect the negative pole, 30 minutes is enough para sure na naka-reset ang ECU. Or pagawa niyo via GDS, better yun.

was anyone able to make the inner tail lights work when the headlamps are on?
Ow di ako magaling mag DIY. Just drill the hole and plug in the peanut bulb? how about the wires?
sounds reasonable, accdg to US Govt. EPA measurements, the car can do 40mpg (hiway) so that's around 17km/li... pero since ang hiway naman sa atin ay madami dami din ang slowdown and re-acceleration. kaya siguro mas mababa. pero not bad na 'yan...
tungkol naman sa oil, normally mga 10T km. sila nag papalit to semi-or fully synthetic oil.
hello my fellow Elantra owners
we are cooking something to enhance our driving experience and to give more value in the interior of our Elantra, check this out.
the head unit in the left is from my wife's Elantra which we dismantled to be the guinea pig.
the panel at the right is the prototype, some flaws are still there.
prototype panel, we still have to refine some glitches.

waiting for an upgrade soon like the GPS-NAVIGATOR 2DIN, need the same panel as above. Wondering how much for this upgrade ?
sir, cannot estimate yet magkano, pero you can check our sulit ads sa mga OEM HU namin na successful na ang pagkagawa. We do reverse engineering sa mga HU using the stock panel for opening a mould. The best thing is that we perfected the compatibility of Garmin on our HU unlike ung ibang OEM HU na naghahang or hindi stable ang Garmin GPS. you can view some models here: Lurker Car (carlurker) Philippines
one thing yet to be done is the OEM fit rear camera, I think mahuhuli to than the HU.
wow, saw your sulit page, have to make "ipon" na for it! Pls do post here in tsikot.com once you're ready. Thanks.
I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a 1.6 m/t elantra.. But before I do, please do post here any negatves that you have on your units.
some questions I have on elantra users:
Is the suspension ok? meaning that is it not too soft much like what I'm reading about the accent (that easily bottoms out)?
For M/T users, how's the clutch action and gears? (too bad hyundai does not have a test drive of the 1.6 M/T units but I'm still pushing my SA for one). Also how is the reverse gear implemented? Has it got a ring to pullu p in order to select reverse gear and prevent it to be selected when you are aiming for the first gear (much like what is found on the previous gen accent)?
Any niggles on the overall build quality this early?
Thanks!
