    From TOPGEAR

After months of keeping us waiting, Hyundai Asia Resources (HARI) has finally unveiled the all-new Elantra compact sedan that is currently getting a lot of attention at the 7th Manila International Auto Show.
While the unit on display is just a show car, HARI said the all-new Elantra that will be eventually be sold in the Philippines will come in two variants: the 1.8-liter nu MPI engine with automatic transmission that delivers 150ps at 6,500rpm and 178Nm of torque at 4,700rpm; and the manual-transmission-equipped 1.6-liter Gamma MPI engine that puts out 130ps at 6,300rpm with 157Nm of torque.

The Hyundai Elantra will not be available until June. But as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. And if you do wait for the fifth-generation Hyundai Elantra, you might be in for a treat as HARI is looking to price the range-topping variant "at less than P900,000."
Is that deal good enough for you?

Feature wise. I just wanted to temper expectation, lots of people think that's what we are going to get for P938K. Quality is the same naman since they are all made in Ulsan Korea except for the US version which will be made in Hyundai's facility there in Alabama...

Specs of the vehicle and the color that will be available.

White, Silver for the 1.6 GL

Black, Red, Blue (similar shade of blue on the Vios) for 1.8 GLS

We do learn that the side mirros are "electric heated". Another useless feature in our country. HARI, pls. delete this.

AFAIK yung electric heated side mirror parang kasama ata yun once na kunin mo yung power side mirror option So no choice tayo dun.

Pag dumating na yung initial units, doon tayo mag-reklamo sa features

Parang medyo malayo naman ata. At halata sa size. At halata na mas sleek yung design ng Elantra..

actually to be honest natakot rin ako, cause you bought a 1.58M car only for them to sell a replica for 800k? but then again hindi rin, outside and inside, sobrang ibang iba pa rin talaga ang sonata. kita mo difference talaga

These are the goodies I saw:

    Driver and Pass. airbag
    Side airbags
    Sunroof
    Leather seats and steering wheel
    Cruise control on steering wheel
    Climate control
    Auto headlamps
    Auto wipers
    Audio with USB port
    Audio control on steering wheel

If this is the P938k GLS, sign me up! Champion!!! And those are just the features na obvious!

Na-disappoint lang ko sa 16" wheels...kinda lame. But that can be easily remedied hehe

For sure the 938k variant will have the drivers and passenger airbag, USB port. But for the rest you will be heavily disappointed since the HARI people at the show said that the 938K will not have most of the "major" features you listed.
