If our gas isnt up to spec with the newer engines, e di dapat di nalang nila nilabas dito. They shoulve tested it first. This is their reason before for not introducing ung GDI engines diba? When they release new cars here, it should be given na they will run under local conditions.

I hope isolated case lang ito. If not sayang naman. Ganda pa naman ng Accent. And hope the elantra will be different.

inaabangan ko ang thread na ito kasi i'm also hearing slight engine knock sa tucson theta engine ko since 1k pms. 11k na tinakbo ng engine ko pero nandun pa rin from time to time un tope and maybe nasanay na ako sa sound ng engine. ilan beses na ko nagpabalik balik sa casa but ang lagi lang sinasabi is normal lang daw yun sound ng engine. mismong service manager na nagtestdrive. wala rin makita na abnormal readings sa GDS and lahat ng parameters pasok sa spec.

sana may makita ang casa or HARI na solution for this or claim na engine noise is inherent sa Hyundai engines.

mas ok siguro magcompare ng engine sound side by side para malaman if normal lang din ang noise... or better yun TS magtestdrive ng ibang unit for direct comparison. wala pa lang din ako natestdrive na ibang tucson to check.

Same thought here Sir, bakit pa inilabas dito ang mga accent kung ang pagbibintangan lang nila ay ang gasolina... PALPAK talaga....

Mas tatangapin kopa kung sasabihin nila na may problema ang makina, which of course they would not do... I hope this are isolated cases and pray that it won't happen on my unit....

What kind(s) of fuel do you or did you use on your Tucson?

    Tucson naman ngayon????

Ok yun Sir, inherent na knocking sound sa Hyundai engines, baka bagong pa uso ng hyundai, instead of the vrooom vrooom sound eh knocking sound na ngayon sa mga brand new units.

Joke or not, its interesting to know how will Hyundai answer all this, ang kawawa lang talaga ay tayong mga consumers, dahil sa PALPAK na reasoning nila.

Ano ba iyan? Pati Tucson, may posibleng parehong problema...

    Tama..

Been there, done that.

    So ako walang reklamo.

para sa akin lang, ang rason ko lang ay same ng rason ng kaibigan ko sa akin, "if you can afford a vehicle, i don't see any reason why you can't afford gas/diesel and maintenance for it." may point nga naman siya.

To add. Magkasunod kami both Tucson R-eVGT..

In short, TH yung bumibili ng wala namang pang-maintenance!

BTT: Yung knocking sound if ever fuel ang cause, dapat puwede maremedyuhan ng HARI since dapat worry free driving lalo na at brand new vehicle. If hindi compatible, 'wag ipilit. Kasi papano yung walang choice but to fuel up at some gas satation na hindi kabisado? 'wag na lang? Hindi naman tama yun IMO.

Sir yung normal diesel lang ba kinakarga o yung turbo diesel na bago? Medyo apprehensive pa din ako sa diesel kasi may nakikita parin akong newcars na mausok parin. Kanina nga lang may nakita akong Montero na nagstart sa P ung plate medyo mausok na e. I know it should be properly maintained pero mas mausok parin sya kesa gas talaga. And no matter what they say, kahit bmw pa yan, iba parin tunog ng diesel engine...

Sir mausok talaga Montero Sport FYI

Anyway, Shell V-Power Diesel or Petron Turbo Diesel ang gamit ko

I watched a TG episode na sinubukan nila kung alin ang mas maingay, sabi nung dB meter mas maingay yung 540i than 530d. Hehehe. Pero BMW na kasi yun. Haha

thanks to all the responses i got from you guys!

my friend who got his White Accent MT last January from E-Rod reported of engine knock at E-Rod casa after using petron unleaded. He claims the knock is cured by petron XCS. (third accent i guess with engine knock). mine apparently was not cured by XCS.

    Update as of today:

it's my 5th gas-up using Shell Unleaded. Engine seems to be ok now. almost no knocking sound. I could easily reproduce the knock sound BEFORE, but now it's almost gone. *almost because i get surprised sometimes hearing a very short knock. I'm hoping the new spark plugs will solve this.

I went on a short road trip today, with 3 friends so the car is loaded. along the way i ask them to spot a knock. we didnt experience any. perfect day na sana pero nung pauwi na ako and mag isa nalang, a knock occured briefly. after that wala na. i hope i'm on the road to solving this than face the gruesome task of claiming for warranty.

i'm thinking of changing to shell premium hoping to see more improvements. any of your thoughts is appreciated.

*** to the moderators, i still think this is not yet fuel related but feel free to move this thread if needed. thank you very much.

For that class of car, you should be able to fuel-up on any gas station using any petrol variant....

Hyundai should urgently solve this issue....
