If you're in the market for a Genesis Coupe you have no other choice. The blown 2.0L four-banger IS the smaller displacement engine.

Besides who says you have to drive a sports car at full turbo boost all the time? In typical Manila traffic crawls you probably won't even see turbo boost.

really? do have any idea at what rpm the turbo starts to kick-in? if you stay at rpm below the turbo kicks in then you have a slouch sports car (whats the use?). then again i don't have any idea whats the type of turbo being used in genesis coupe. if it's VGT it will have a poor fuel mileage.

the point is the person is considering a genesis coupe but have reservation on fuel consumption.

according to the dyno (2.0 stock) i saw, boost comes at around 3000rpm, full at 4500rpm. so relatively small turbo ( early boost) medyo bitin s dulo pero good for street use coz of zero lag.

but mind you, i guy in the US just rechipped the ECU and was able to add 40whp, no intake-exhaust, just tuning.

5km/li - full hataw ( say SCTEX run cruising 180kph and more)
7km/li - mixed hataw and pigil
9km/li - pigil n pigil, no boost.

so more or less same with the 2.0 Genesis Coupe.the thing is if you can afford the car, then why not the fuel?

Actually, a V6 M/T will get City: 7.2km/L and Highway: 11.1km/L. Combined will of course be somewhere in between depending on how heavy your foot is on the gas.

By the way, I saw two 2.0 Turbos chasing each other on a highway a couple of days ago.

thanks bro! got confused with the color at first also. my first choice was yellow but lots of taxis in our city is colored yellow so i decided to stick with white color. with the gencoupe site, not yet. i didn't knew that site until today. nice to hear you got one also. let's share what's best with out future coupe. by the way, my first plan of upgrade will be to change the brakes with brembo. if you know where i can source it kindly share. also mine will arrive this coming 3rd week of july and yours? when it will arrive?

there are lots of coupe buyers already (mostly 2.0). they are the first of the batch since the introduction. mine is the 2nd batch which will be coming late of july or early august.

Anyway tapos na ang training namin sa HARI and yung instructor ng HARI ang nagsabi sa amin na 90 days before mo makuha ang Genesis (hindi ako makapaniwala akala ko naman darating na sa amin cos of the buzz)

Anyway eto na lang muna ads ng genesis coupe.
