Woah! Too expensive.
Considering at that pricetag of the base model is US$29k=Php1.39mil! Lampas na yan sa presyo ng top-of-the-line Eclipse. Nasa league na yan ng mid range Camaro.
Price is just not worth it! Ngayon kung nasa P900k-P1.3mil then that would be competitive considering ganun naman yung presyo ng previous gen na Tiburon. Just because they slapped a huge gas thirsty 3.8L V6 engine doesn't mean they can slap an almost P2mil price tag on it. I'm better off purchasing a pre-owned evo, RX-7, Eclipse or Supra then have it modified for performance may sukli ka pa para bumili ng Japanese scooters.
Nice car, unpleasant pricetag.

for 2.0 Turbocharged motor, i think the 1.3M is okay. pero siempre, at that price, people would also consider the Ford Focus TDCI and Subbie Impreza 2.0R (N/A)...
or,
Mitsu Montero Sport 2.5L DiD.

Actually the P1.8M V6 3.8L M/T and A/T variants are relatively cheap.
Now where can I steal 1.8M?

Uh.... US prices =/= Philippine prices.
For a rear-wheel drive coupe that's the same size and power and luxury as a BMW 6-series? (Okay, maybe a little less luxury)
Given that you're getting a rear-drive 2.0 turbo for less than a Subaru WRX and a 300 horsepower V6 sportscar for 1 million pesos less than a 350Z or a Mitsubishi Eclipse... gaddamn fantastic!!!
Now, where did I put my checkbook?
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

December 15th, 2009 11:51 AM #8I just got myself the 3.8 V6 from Hyundai Pasig. Great car, very happy with the performance so far. Took it on a road trip to Banawe day after buying it. Corners well, comfortable to drive good acceleration. Brakes feel a little weak at times and unresponsive, especially on the mountain roads.
Anyone know a reputable place in Manila that can do a Brembo Brake upgrade for me? I didn't want to wait 3 months for Hyundai Dealer to import the track edition. Besides I didn't want the stiff suspension etc. Hyundai dealer said they have no service bulletin regarding upgrading the Brembo Brakes so they can't do it, but I guess there is somewhere out there in Manila that can.
