saw a white face lift genesis on my way back from MIAS last Saturday evening, akala ko veloster hehe

BTW, if your'e planning on getting the GDI, antay ka muna ilan months for feedbacks, baka hindi kayanin ang fuel type natin dito, baka magaya sa accent, just to be on the safe side pare.

^ I remember reading from an article that the engine is equipped with knock sensors so it might not be a problem, seeing that the HP figures differ with regular and premium fuel.


What's really making this hard is na dispatch na last week yung isang car and what's left is a tucson. We need a second car ASAP sana, 'cause dad is hell bent on getting the new explorer (which has a loooong line) or getting a prado. Anyway, I was deciding between the GT86 or the new GC, but it seems like mas mauuna ang arrival ng GC. I don't think I can afford to wait for around 6 months waiting though.

Sarap naman ng choice mo hehe If its rush pala you might end up taking the GC baka yung pre-facelift pa makuha mo sir, matagal ang delivery time ng GC I waited mine for about 3-4 months before dumating unless meron mga available variant and color in the casa. Initial review of the face lift states na naging mas comfort oriented daw and suspension ng GC which might be good if your going to use it as a beater since medyo matagtag ang suspension ng pre-face lift. But imho, better wait for the GT 86. It might end up being better than the GC. Hirap ng buyers remorse with the price your paying for the car.

Parang puro performance and/or aesthetic upgrades ang mga ginagawa ng mga genesis owners eh hehe I'm interested as well ang hirap mag upgrade ng sound system natin since we have the steering wheel controls sayang naman kung mawala yun. Sarap sana if we are able to retain the funcionality of all the buttons hehe

haha yung para sa stereo lang yung ginagamit ko eh (volume at track selection ata), para sa cruise control yung nasa kanan pero hindi ko pa nagagamit, bihira naman sa atin yung need ng feature na ito since lagi traffic tapos after tune wala na talaga kuwenta sarap ng hatak mas kakaenganyo idrive

Do all GC models have the Infinity sound system? Yung sa 3.8 kasi Infinity and I'm already very happly with it. Well, I'm not really a sound enthusiast though.

I never used the cruise control until about a month ago when they started catching drivers who oversped in the skyway. Kaya to be in the safe side, I set the cruise control to 90 kph when I'm on the skyway.

The base or entry level GC doesnt come with the infinity sound system. I did a diy and replaced all my speakers and installed an 8" subwoofer on the rear deck. I also placed an amp on where the stock infinity amp is. Looks stock. Although i still have some rattle issues on the rear deck since the entry level rear deck has the third brake lamp on it. And theres no vent for the subwoofer.

In other words, the 8" subwoofer is housed infinite baffle (aka free air) style?

Just remember that some subs won't work well on IB and that IB generally needs more watts compared to sealed or ported as there's no "wood" to reflect the waves back.

Sobrang naiinip na ako maghintay! Sana may announcement man lang kung kailan ilalabas ng HARI yung 2013 GC dito. I'm getting the idea na mas mauuna pa irelease yung GT 86 dito dahil sa articles sa Top Gear Ph.

May nakita ako white 2013 GC sa isang bagong showroom (grey market) sa tabi ng Toyota Bicutan when they released our Prado. I'll check it out one of these days haha.

Guys ano kaya ground clearance ang maganda, yung hindi maabala ng humps, potholes, and inclines? No problem ba pag stock? Any feedback sa mga nag coilovers or lowering springs? TIA

Haha thanks! Kaya pa isagad all the way down. Surprisingly, walang sayad sayad sa mga humps. Although going up and down in some condo parkings, sayad ung metal sa ilalim.

Sometimes, usually pag sa carwash ko. Kasi ung carwash ng friend ko medyo pataas, but I guess di naman nakakasira un so okay lang hahha pag sa condo usually from basement, aray talaga pag narinig ung metal hahaha
