HeheMaybe they just want to earn more $$$ with the V6 A/T. Actually the V6 units with brembos are from Dubai daw. Different from all the other units coming from Korea without the BBK.
Kaya pala when i took a closer look at the V6 brembo display unit in q ave.. it has arabic characters on the side mirrors - I guess thats the arabic transalation of objects in mirror are closer than they appear.
I see. I kinda heard rumors about Hyundai dealers importing the Genesis Coupes by themselves.
No wonder I saw a base model that came with a spoiler many months ago. White ata sya.
HARI Alabang.
definitely they'll put an imaginable cost for the upgrades which will make me think and realize to better pick the top of the line units instead..
but anyway im planning to outsource the exterior upgrades in sites such as importshark and koreanautoimports..i'll buy the rims here in uae.
hindi ba kayo nagkaintindihan ng S/A ko? kung ganun ako lang pala pinagbigyan nun hehehe.
try visit: www.gencoupe.com
you can really learn something from those guys there.
I agree with ghost_recon regarding the accessories.
If you are planning to get the base 2.0T and like the OEM rims and spoiler, it might be better to check out aftermarket accessories nalang para maiba ka.
By the way, I think pwede na ren yung V6 with Brembo brakes cuz I inquired sa US and brake set costs around $2400 without shipping and installation.
Guys:
Gencoupe in store unit sightings?
that's a v6 AT in Q Ave: which colour?
another v6 in alabang?
I saw a red one, probably the base model mentioned in hyundai pasig.
i also saw one in balintawak, silver i think.
Hi all, first post here.
I was also interested in getting a Gen Coupe, but after several weeks of trying to get some clear answers from the SA at Hyundai Alabang, I was finally told that they only have automatics available with the Brembo brake option as mentioned in a post above. I was set on getting a manual with Brembos, and I guess there's always the import option, but the wait has made me start to look at other less flashy cars. Hmm, maybe my practical side is starting to edge out?
A shame really, since I was totally infatuated with the car at first sight, hehe.![]()
^Yeah, that makes more sense. I'll look into that. Right now I'm thinking of just ordering the manual 3.8 and sticking with the regular brakes for a while then upgrading down the line.
And importing a track 3.8 with Brembos would also get you the extra-stiff suspension, something I'm not too keen on for daily driving.
Nice! happy for you, man.How long was your total waiting time?
Talked to SA from Hyundai Alabang, said base manual 3.8 could arrive in 2 months or so. Still torn on whether to jump on it, since my family is suggesting I go for a more 'practical' car (so they can borrow it "from time to time", hehe). But the GC is just so darn ***y/gwapo... decisions, decisions.
Finally saw one on the road the other day. Looks great in the showroom, but even better when it's overtaking my ride, lol.
