Hmmmm, would it be possible to up the 2.0T output of 210hp to over 300hp with tuning and maybe some "minor" upgrades like improved (uncrimped) exhaust, piggyback programable ecu and alcohol injection?![]()

I'm sure there will be tuner parts for the 3.8 V6 as well such as superchargers.
The 2009 Auto Focus Peoples Choice Awards .
Model of the year Sports Car : Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
mr salesman in fort hyundai told me it would only apply to parts that were changed/modded: for example, your headlights were changed to a body colour bezelled one, or something like it. next time your lights fail, then wala daw warranty.
that's the ideal case.
imo, if something remotely relating to your electrical system fails, they'd blame that headlight, only because it's the easiest target. that's just how things are.
incidentally, i saw paddle shifters in a gencoupe in alabang; was supposed to be a 2.0 premium, but i'm not sure. it's definitely automatic and it definitely had (tiny) paddle shifters.
hmm, long term use notwithstanding, the legacy interior was anything but cheap -- its so... luxurious.
the gencoupe though... it's pretty meh. thank god the sound system on the non base is pretty good, and at least it has some toys to go with it. at least the impreza's felt bare, but the gencoupe's plastic felt cheap.
thing is, you're not going to be spending your time making himas the dashboard (he he he), as long as the placement of necessary buttons/switches are ergonomic enough, it should be pretty okay. you can't get so much for so little without compromises, and at least the core of this product: the engine, is pretty sound.
IMHO, you couldn't do anything worse than buy the 2.0.. Get the 3.8 V6 instead, as you're also aware that its only a few thousands away.
Yes this car will turn heads, but there's no snob factor. But you could do away with more HP if you get the 3.8 V6/NA
I would opt for 2.0T, only to hear the turbo whistle.
In the U.S. lots of car enthusiast likes the looks and performance of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
problem here in batangas is we dont have enough roads to test the 3.8 unless pumunta ka sa startollway.. youll barely reach 50kph going to and from point A to B..para naman yatang hinihigop ang fuel ko nun kung naka 3.8 ako..and yes the 3.8 is few hundred thousands away hehe..
btw, im wondering bakit yung mga import shops na nagtitinda ng starex wala sila nito? baka mas maganda specs nun diba?
Anybody know about the winged emblem? 1st mod ko is to definately replace them, pwede rin ba to pa-order sa dealer? or aftermarket lang? ung emblem similar to the Genesis sedan. IMO mas bagay ito sa coupe rather than the H eyesore.
Just came from the test drive. I really like the Genesis Coupe. The people from Hyundai said all the Genesis A/T (2.0T and 3.8L) now have paddle shifters.
The one I tested had the optional Brembo brakes. The 19 inch wheels look great but it really makes you feel every defect on the road.
just like the ones here..

Those are nice looking emblems for the coupe. BTW, does the 2.0T A/T come with a rear wing? I really like the genesis coupe without the wing since it looks more like a sports car and it does look a bit sleeker. A sports car less than 2M with the looks and performance of the genesis coupe = Win.
