Ganda ng bagong grill ah, medyo napa-laki nga lang![]()
tanong lang mga sirs, ano opinion nyo about removing the pulley driven radiator fan and replacing it with an electric blower? tataas kaya ang torque gaya ng latest GS? kaya ba ng alternator natin yung additional load?
Good point bro.yebo... I was thinking of that too dahil siyempre over time ay hihina ang direct drive na fan clutch....
Tingin ko ay kaya pa ng alternator natin ang additional load, which is in this case, electric blower/fan. I have a voltage monitor, and during normal idle/driving on the current setup,- it is registering at least 13.8V.

Sir is this the fan sa harap ng radiator?
The A/C Condenser fan is Standard Equipment on all Grand Starex at Hancars, not freebies.
On the question whether you can remove the pulley-driven clutch fan and install electric radiator fan such as those installed in the Euro 5 Engines, you can't. The electric radiator fan is controlled by the ECU , and Euro 4 ECU have no program for this.
Then your electric radiator fan will be on all the time, at low speed. It won't go to high speed, as sometimes required by the system due to high temperature or high load. The electric radiator fan is variable speed fan, and the speed is controlled by the ECU. The A/C condenser fans that Hancars have on all its Grand Starex as standard equipment (not as freebie) are likewise controlled by the ECU, and yes, it's variable speed too.
old school vs. ecu. i don't see anything that a good thermo switch and a set of relays can't fix - low temp/low speed, high temp/high speed.
i'm just wondering anyway, if that extra 40N-m torque will be worth it.
