    Bakit GEN 4 na ang starex ngayon? diba dalawa palang ang body ng STAREX?

    Sa wikipedia kasi two generations pa lang?

    mali naman yung sa wikipedia e. yung 1st gen dun sa wiki e yung millenium series e gen 2 na yun. tapos yung millenium series nya 1997-2007 hehehe!

    correct me if i am wrong but,
    1st gen 1991-1999 (non-turbo 85hp? may turbo models na din yung later models)
    2nd gen millenium series 2000-2003 (turbo intercooler engine 102 hp?)
    3rd gen GRX series 2004-2007 (crdi turbo intercooler 145 hp)
    4th gen Grand starex series 2008-present (crdi vgt 175 hp)

    Pero yung 1991 to 2007, same lang ang body.. Pero they only change the engine and some exterior parts.

    Gamit ko,- Shell Rimula R3 X - almost 20KKm na ako.... 6.5L for our TCi.... Then, I will shift later to Semi-Synthetic....

    I was reading the old specs of our GS:

    For TCi A/T: Gear Ratio : 1- 2.804; 2- 1.531; 3- 1.000; 4- 0.753; Reverse: 2.393; Final Gear Ratio: 3.909
    For VGT A/T: Gear Ratio: 1- 3.730; 2- 3.308; 3- 1.519; 4- 1.000; 5- 0.840; Reverse: 2.740; Final Gear Ratio: 2.929

    Sa rekta: - final ratio (input to wheel rev)
    TCi- 2.943
    VGT- 2.460
    So, if everything is equal,- ideally,- tipid si VGT ng about 16%.

    Further if both are running at 2000RPM and with the circumference of our 215/65 R17 tyres at 2.234meters, then the TCi ground speed would only be at 91KPH, while the VGT ground speed would be at 109KPH.... Sa gearing pa lang ito.... BTW, this checks with my experience on our TCi A/T

    Sa 2500RPM - 136KPH
    2800RPM - 152KPH
    3200RPM - 174KPH. (ang galing talaga ng excel file!.... )

    Engineer ka,- siyempre may theoretical at actual....

    Siyempre,- mas tama ang actual!!! hahaha!

    Whew! 180KPH?.... L!ntek,- sa Autobanh lang ako naka-experience ng ganyan + more....Tumatakbo kami ng 220KPH+,- may nagflash pa sa likod para mag-overtake...

    At one time, sa motorsiklo pa... Grabe ang kapit/yakap ko sa driver,- pareho pa kaming nakainom (at linsyak,- lalaki pa....) Hindi ko mismo nakita ang speed, pero sabi ng driver about 180KPH daw!!! Lahat ng santo natawag ko na....

    Yung TCI is hindi pa CRDI, right? So mas matulin pa yung 3rd gen na Starex pala.

    Tanong lang, wala bang problema kahit naka 11k KMS na ako? haha
    di pa ako ngppa 10K PMS, wala kasing time at naghahakot palipat ng bagong bahay.
