2008 HYUNDAI i10

Hi co-i10 owners. Our unit was delivered yesterday, and upon driving it home, we noticed that on uneven roads, there's a rattling sound behind the instrument panel. After approximately 50 kilometers of driving around, we believe the problem got worse, so it might be a component that's getting more loose.

Upon browsing the thread, I believe some of you have already experienced this issue. Care to share what you or your dealer did? Thank you.

*techillajoe, sir yung seaoil sa may neopolitan malapit sa mitsubishi dealer unleaded 40.15 lang, yun ngayon gamit ko matagal maubos 12-13km/l ako ngayon. ang unioil same price lang sila ng petron eh.

glossy n ba yung stock rim mo?

Hindi pa glossy sir. Pero di ko pa rin kinakabit yung hubcab. Astig eh, hehe.

Try ko seaoil next time. may + - P2 diff unioil sa petron. Yung last roll back, di pa nag adjust yung unioil kaya tumapat yung petron. post ako pic anytime.

*ocdmonochrome, re: rattling sound, I found the 3rd eye brake lights loose on mine, you can have it remedied sa casa, in the meantime, ipitan mo muna ng papel., or it could be 1 of the back-up sensors.

* techillajoe: ni-void ko na warranty sir. For my latest PMS, sa Shell na lang ako nagpa-change oil, though original Hyundai Filter ang gamit ko. Nagulat nga ako kasi sobra-sobra pala yung dating 4 liters na nilalagay kay i10 nuon. 3.5 liters lang sakto na sa "full" sa dipstick.

*RVRSSG2.0: Halos ganyan din i10 ni misis, 1 year 6 mos na, nasa 17K km pa lang nasa Odo niya. Kung yung "time-interval" of "three months" ang pagbabasehan, tapos na siya for 25K km PMS. E istrikto ang casa dito sa amin regarding "5K km or 3 mos. whichever comes first". Kaya ayun, sa labas na lang ako nagpa-PMS tutal ivo-void daw nila warranty kung distance-interval gagamitin ko. Province kami, virtually no other option.

Pwede rin magpasukat for other models kung sakali wala pa silang template (like what they did for our i10).

any idea kung san po makakabili ng mechanism ng side mirror ng i10 natin? nasira kasi un mechanism ng masagi sya ng mga bata na naglalaro sa sana un salamin nalang un nasira mas mura kaysa sa mechanism sa casa worth 7K++ wala ba un labor at isang side lang yan. please advice guro. thanks!

Ako rin parang na t-tempt ako na sa labas na lang ipa-PMS, kse sa casa, di sila payag na ikaw magdadala ng spark plug etc..mas maganda siguro ang performance ng oto pag specs and brand natin ang ginamit.

- Inabot ng 900 petot sir, kasama na du'n yung tip sa mechanic kasi he warned about the bad effects pag lumampas sa "full" yung dipstick ng oil. As to oil filter, sa casa ko na lang siya binili. Tinapat ko na yung service advisor the last time i went there.

- I wrote HARI regarding their policy kung papa'no yung policy sa PMS, kung strict ba sa time interval o distance interval. HARI referred my case to the casa. The casa said strict sila regarding "5K Km PMS or 3 months whichever comes first". Since our i10 barely runs 1K km/3 months, no choice but to void the warranty. Para kasing tanga kung change-oil ng change-oil e ok pa yung langis.

One thing for sure is sayang yung 5 yrs kung magka-problema ang makina. - techillajoe

- Based on my research sa net at sa mga nakakausap kong mga mekaniko, di naman magkakaprublema sa makina basta sundin yung basic oil change at iba pang maintenance work using the manual as guide. Mas nakakasama pa nga sa makina yung sobra-sobrang langis na nilalagay ng casa. As to other problems like suspension, minor na lang yun. Yung matitipid mo sa rates ng casa every PMS yun na lang pambili mo ng parts, kahit pa OEM buy mo, mas makakamura ka pa din.

Ako nga i hate having my warranty voided. Pero illogical yung 5K or 3 mos. eh. Yung sa iba nga 5K or 6 mos (i.e. Isuzu, Toyota, Mitsubishi). Di bale nang highway robbery ang rate ng casa wag ka lang gawing tanga di ba?

*marcdom88: Thanks sa feedback, sa totoo lang, mas mahal talaga labor fees sa casa. then yung 4 liters na oil, di pala dapat 4L, pero yung binabayaran natin 4 liters. Im close to leaving the casa. Di pa natin nakikita yung procedures nila. Pero sa hyundai e.rod sa QC, nag bbase sila sa mileage di sa tenure ng oto. But I'll consider your feedback. Gusto ko talaga palitan ng platinum tip s. plugs eh, ayaw naman ng casa na ako masusunod sa spark plug. TY

Hehehe. Given the # of rattles I've been hearing with our unit, I'm quite certain na maeencounter ko din iyang naging problema mo. Noted. Ilang weeks pa first 1k PMS na. I'll let you know anong sasabihin ng dealer.

Saan nga pala ok bumili ng mas maikling antenna para sa i10? Dumaan ako ng Concorde and Blade kanina sa SM North, wala pareho. Hindi naman mamahalin hanap ko, something fair will suffice. Actually, kahit tinanggal ko yung antenna kanina, wala namang problema. Hehehe.
