2008 HYUNDAI i10

Hi Guys,
Just read thru, and saw new owners. Congrats on your new i10! I saw some comments about noise, alarm and busina.
When I got mine April 09, I had the same experiences.
1. Rattling noise at the back. Check the 3rd eye brake light, malamang yun, other than loose things in the car.
2. Busina, during the first 3 weeks, there were times na nawawala, pero according to previous posts, it's the stock batt power. Never ko na cya na experience. Stock pa rin busina ko.
3. Alarm. I lived with it na. Lapit lang ng remote proximity. Super sensitive, minsan my beep, minsan wala, and there were times na driver side lang ang na llock. I always make sure that every door is locked.

Hi,

I am looking to purchase the i10 but I cant decide between the 1.2 L M/T and the A/T.

How is the acceleration when driving an automatic?

Since I live in Metro Manila an automatic transmittion is very tempting. Anyone here that drives an automatic? I would really appreciate suggestions and comments!

*techillajoe, sir yung seaoil sa may neopolitan malapit sa mitsubishi dealer unleaded 40.15 lang, yun ngayon gamit ko matagal maubos 12-13km/l ako ngayon. ang unioil same price lang sila ng petron eh.

I agree with sir JJGF. I'm coming from a 94 ESi A/T (which I had to sell after a couple of years of headache culminated by the abhorrable Ondoy misfortune) and I would say na halos wala akong mapansing difference when it comes to hatak!

Actually, Available ang Crystal white i10s dito.

Pero IMO, hindi bagay. Mas bagay ang Champagne Gold (ours),
Oyster Gray (phased-out) and Black.

Hindi kaya dun lang sa high end na variant available ang crystal white? Sabi kasi nung Hyundai agent sa SM North 4 colors lang daw ang available dun sa 578k variant: red, blue, gold and black. Yung high end kasi mahal na.

May nakasabayan akong i10 paakyat ng Baguio sa Marcos Highway. Ang tulin. I never expected such speed and power from a small car (1.2 siya). Dala ko Carens pero halos pareho lang kami ng speed pero mas matulin siya at di ko na hinabol. Power-to-weight ratio panalo ang i10!

Actually, the 578k variant happens to be the TOTL High-end 1.2 A/T i10, according to Top Gear. There's nothing "higher" than that.
And also, notice that the 1.1 models including the base GL are "phased-out" already.

From a standstill, pag inapakan mo ng medyo mabigat yung gas pedal, talagang mags-screech yung tires (absolutely no-kidding).

I also saw an Accent and a Getz with that "Gold" emblem. 'Kala ko nung una for aesthetics lang kaya may "Gold" emblem. Kaya sabi ko ang baduy naman nun kasi yung emblem na yun eh kagaya ng mga nasa Starex tapos ilalagay sa Accent and Getz. YUN PALA, may "Limited edition Upgrade" pala talagang ganun. Toinks!

Mga sirs, mayroon po ba kayong alam na Q.C. based non-casa shops that sell genuine parts and accessories for our i10? E.g. air filter, cabin filter, spartk plugs, struts, etc.?

Kung walang ganung shop, which casa in Manila is best when it comes to buying parts and accessories alone? What i intend to do is just buy genuine parts and have my suking talyer do the i10's PMS.

When we were still in the process of deciding which mini compact to purchase, we came across this "Gold" variant. I believe it costs 630k++, which we found expensive given it was well within City/Vios territory.

just had my 1K PMS last thursday for my 1.2 MT i10 at hyundai alabang. Umabot lang ng around 1,200. Only paid the 4L of mineral oil plus taxes. Ginamit ko kasi un free oil filter kapag sinagutan mo un survey nila. Happy na rin with their service. It took around 3 hours lang kasi nun time na dumating ako wala pa kuryente.
