2008 HYUNDAI i10

I'm interested in getting one as my daily drive. Question lang po sa owners. Is the i10 capable for short out of town trips as well?

Natatakot lang kasi ako sa stability niya sa higher speeds (though wala akong balak mag-exceed ng 100 kph speed limits ng highway).

Hindi ba siya naapektuhan ng draft ng mga malalaking trucks kapag may nakasabay ka?

Mine ran 120 on NLEX going to Subic, some i10neans did 140. I did not notice that I went beyond 100kph. It is stable, no frightening vibrations or sounds at high speeds, that was with 3 adult passengers. Compared to some sedans, like Mazda 3, (no offense to Mazda 3 owners) as I was told by one owner, at high speeds, he feels the uncomfortable engine vibration from the inside, but Im yet to find out for myself. As for the draft, you will feel it coz the car is small but the car wont budge, no need to react on the steering.

Yung draft kasi yung kinakatakot ni misis eh kasi maliit daw yung car. Kaya nagdadalawang isip ako kung i10 or Vios ang kunin ko. Kaso pasok na pasok kasi sa budget yung i10. Yung Vios eh kailngan pa ng kaunting tumbling sa finances.

I was able to go 160 km on the sctex... i kept it there for a few mins. but i mostly kept it on 140... wala namang problema.

same here.. 140 - 155kph at SCTEX, no problem with engine vibrations. actually, sa 130, di mo mapapansin na 130 na takbo mo. parang cruising lang.. hehehehe

regarding draft...yes, meron onti kahit SUV lang dumaan sayo, basta nasa 120++kph yung dadaan sayo. pero nothing to worry naman. steady driving pa din.

We did 140kph nlex going to bocaue last year para bumili ng fireworks on the way kasabay namin was a silver I10 doing 140 as well. going back punong puno kami ng fireworks may 10k rounds pa na sawa no problemo sa car stability but my dad told me to keep it at 120kph.

JJGF : Bro., siguro kung possible ilabas mo nalang yan sa hapon. Mga 4PM kung pwede then idiretso mo na yan sa isang reputable tint shop kung may time pa, kung wala na find the earliest time na pwede ka magpalagay ng Medium tint.

Hindi siya magrereklamo. Cute kaya ng i10, altho di ko lang alam kung kamusta FC niya. I don't own one kasi.

Maganda i10 pang city driving. House-ofc trips, diyan the best i10. Tsaka kumander pala eh, madadalian siya sa pagpark.

Wish mo nalang na makulimlim next week para pag ginamit niya di siya magreklamo sa init.

naliliitan siya pero sabi ko gusto mo ba kasing laki ng MS ko dala mo araw araw? nakakapagod yun ah!

pang office lang niya kaya yan ang suggest ko...12kms lang naman balikan house-office... saka yan na lang ang kakasya sa garahe hehe

pero kahit mainit dadalhin ko sa gataytay sa sunday para ma-roadtest

I-PROPER break in mo na yung i10. Pasundot sundot ka sa pinakamabilis niya.

*JJGF, you won't go wrong with the i10 to your wifey. The car is nice, although the suspension is slightly stiff, but WTH, it's not a Merc anyway.
Our FC: 1.2 A/T, Purely city-driving and with a very aggressive driving style *9-10kms/l compared to last year's reading *11-12kms/l (!).
Actually the car is mom's, but she rides with dad everyday so I drive it going to school everyday which is 2kms from our home, hence the low mileage considering it's already a year old- 7,890kms.
Rattling sounds, there are few, especially on the front wheels whenever the road is uneven, inside the dashboard and inside the panel where the seatbelts are located.
Alarm system is darn broken, door still closes with a "thud" instead of "clunk", and most importantly, now that it's sooo hot, the Aircon is good. Overall, the car is nice.

nung una, kala ko tama lang ang lamig ng i10. tipong mainit din pag tirik ang araw. pero wala pa kasi ting windshield ko nun. ngayong may tint na windshield ko (lahat na bale ng salamin meron), kahit tirik ang araw.. malamig pa din. ;)

medyo stiff lang ang ride, pero overall, ok naman sya. sa 120kph, ok na ok pa ang takbo ng i10. ;)

Just asking about the PMS costs.. ganito ba talaga kamahal ang PMS? same din ba ang mga costs on other car companies?

Ang mahal kasi ng hyundai PMS starting at 10K..

10K - PhP 7600 (waaaahhh!!)
15K - PhP 3500
20K - PhP 9300 (waaaahhh!!)
25K - PhP 3500
30K - PhP 7600 (waaaahhh!!)
35K - PhP 3500
40K - PhP 10,168 (WTF!!)

I'm starting to regret buying my i10 car from Hyundai.. my friend who has a toyota vios told me that his maintenance costs does not cost that much and it is maintained by Toyota.. pinakamahal siguro is around 5K..

Feedback from you guys (particularly those who have experienced buying from other car companies) would be really helpful..

kung ganito lang might as well get a toyota kahit mahal or same lang maintenance cost nila? sorry wala pa alam sa cars since first time lang to own one.
