law-wise, generally hindi retroactive ang batas. meaning, since iimplement pa lang yan, di na affected yung existing imported vehicles dito. new imports na ang bawal.

in a jist, marami naging and potential issues ang B plates. in the not-so-distant past, naging mainit sa mata ng PNP / TMG ang 'B' plates (and other imported ones). madalas sila nagpapara ng mga ganito to check if complete ang papers, esp customs / importation clearance. pag hindi, lagot dahil smuggled. at kahit na clean unit nyo, it wont stop you from the hassle / worry of being flagged down in the first place.

and of course, the possible conversion issues. i know a few people who wished they never bought a converted vehicle; while maayos sa simula at mura, they ended up spending more for tons of repairs -- not limited to the steering parts. do note these vehicles are NOT made for our local roads and environment.

another issue is parts. a friend who owns an auto supply told me before na may mga naghahanap ng pyesa sa kanila pang import fit, pero iba sa meron sila na pang local jazz. not sure how much the disparity is.

so... get a local gen1 unit. for less than 100k difference, sulit sa peace of mind

Nakita ko nga 'to while looking for a car sa site. Ganyang ganyan ang gusto kong set-up pati wheels. But, different color. Taffeta White and Magnesium Blue CE28 Mags. Di ko lang alam if may fit na Spoon Sports body kits for latest model ng Honda Jazz 1.3s ngayon. Wala din ako masearch, puro '09 model nakikita ko.

Isa pang option ko is yung Spoon Mags. Eto po boss:

Well stock GE 1.5L na mags is already 16s. Ako i am using 16" wheels and so far i like the ride better compared sa 17s of course mas makapal ang goma reslting to more comfort oriented.

Pwede yang Spoon mags pero ang orig will be pricey. Rota na ganyan is saktong 17x7 +47 or +48 ata while the orig is 17x7 +53

thanks sa mga reply. honestly sir yang 100k na yan malaking difference na yan for me. if kaya lang bumili nang local shempre dun nalang din para may onting peace of mind compare to buying imports na converted. pero honestly more than 100k ang difference nang local sa imports na nacanvas ko. i guess ill continue to pursue the honda fit. kung ano man mangyari charge to experience ko nalang.. hehehe

paps specs ng mags ko is 16x6.5 +55 offset. Pero i used 1/4" spacer front and back since masyadong tucked tignan with stock tires. Not sure if mag 205/50 na ako

My personal opinion Sir, masyadong malabnaw, magsa-summer pa naman, oil becomes much thinner pa during Warm weather... iwasan na lang sigurong too much revvying ng engine....tipid pa sa gas....

Yun din sir nabasa ko a while ago...pero di naman siguro gagamitin ng Honda yun kung makaksama sa engine. Matagal-tagal pa ulit bago makapagpa-change oil. No more hataw mode muna for me.

yeah depende sa recommended, iba iba bawat engine. have yet to check the local manual, but my softcopy service manual for the 2012 US Fit specifically recommends 0w-20.

also, optimum engine operating temp is around 120 deg celsius, so negligible yung outside temp natin which is around 30-35 deg celsius during summer. cooling system na bahala mag maintain nun, regardless of weather

Got my second set of 17's from pcuerpo. Work 11R 17x7 +47 on 215/40 My first was a Concept one Cult 17x7 +45 on 205/45. Noticable are ride confront from 16's stock to 17's but I don't think it's a big difference. Personally I think it will largely depend more on your suspension rather than the tire running the same pressure as stock. If you're on a highway you won't notice it, if you're on rough roads, regardlesss of rim size or suspension the ride wont feel good anyway both for you and your car

Biggest concern using 17's would be rim damage One of the reason I went back to stock, but pcuerpo's offer was hard to resist so went back to 17's. Moral of the lesson, don't get replica/copy rims lol!

Ang mahal naman ng orig, di kaya. Hehe.

My friend's using BBS LM 17" 205/40/17 on his FD. So far okay naman. Tama sabi ni sabawballs, dapat mas maingat sa daan.

    Stock springs yan boss?
