    haha onga sir e.

yup, true that, ilang beses na kasi ako dumulas sa stock tires btw, the problem with 205/50 is magmumukha kang 4x4 kung di ka lowered... mas lalaki kasi sa overall diameter compared to stock kaya mas tataas ng onti pa GE mo... you can go with 195/50

    K&N For the win!
Sir if pinalitan Ko hurricane and k&n filter yung oto ko. Void ba warranty? Kasi if ilalagay yung stock na filter before pms. For sure papalitan yun kapag tumagal kunwari. So bibili ka parin sa kanila if schedule for replacement na....

beeco, close pa ren ang 195/50 and it is still within the recommended specs ;) beefy kasi masyado yung 205/50 kaya magmumukhang 4x4, di naman sa taas

roelrpt, afaik, it shouldnt void the warranty lalo na yung sa drop-in filter... not sure lang sa cabin/air filter

K&N or Hurricane drop in air filter should not void the warranty.

yup. thats correct HKS as far as i know is just a repacked idemitsu. bumuli ka na lang diretcho ng idemitsu mas mura pa lumalabas.
Sure idol. Text ka lang. Madami ako stock now ng B179 - pang honda. kung march ka pa papa change oil baka abutan mo pa yung darating kong stocks from states. madami ako darating na mahabang filters na baldwin, fleetguard at luber finer. all from the states. Am also anticipating some valvoline.

Thank you sir. Wow. Dami stocks hah. Hahahah.

Pa OT po. 2nd full tank ko. City driving lang. Di pa ako nakapag-out of town eh. FC ko 11.7km/L using vpower nitro.

205/50 will be the closest one to the stock 185/55. Next will be 195/50 then 205/45. Pero for looks, it goes the other way around. hehe!

*bayen - question paps, if we use baldwin na good for 10-12k pero we change our oil every 5k/6months, papalitan parin ba yung oil filter? or pwedeng iretain yung baldwin and just change the oil? or mas maganda na sabay parin palitan? hehe medyo naguguluhan ako idol

*oopsydaisy - kayang kaya yan boss just think of it may mga celerio pa sa baguio

i am currently using Motul 10w-40 w/ OEM Oil Filter since wala pang HPS na RP oil and Baldwin Oil Filter available nung time na yun. First impression coming from the dinosaur oil that came with my Jazz is parang medyo mas matagal mag shift. Still observing pa hopefully mas maging okay.

Next i will try the RP HPS if available na or maybe i'll try the 0w-20 ni Honda. Mas mura pa compared to Motul.

    205/50/16 & 205/45/17 - those are closes to stock.
medyo beefy nga yung 205/50/16, am running on those now.

Sabay sya bro. If you will you baldwin, itakbo mo both yung Oil and Filter ng 10,000KM to 12K before you change it para sulit na sulit. Everytime you change oil its best to use new oil and new oil filter.

agree with sabawballs on this one, i drove a 1.3 manual jazz sometime back up to baguio, 5 pa kami sa oto, plus baggage, lalo na nung pauwi, kayang kaya ng jazz. walang issue sa akyatan. we took the kenon road. Actually even the 800cc Hyundai EON can go up to Baguio. Mas maganda na kasi transmission ngayon compared dati. gone are the days na aatras yung oto mo kapag matarik. maganda na din ang kenon, there are sections that would allow you to get some bwelo para sure kang makaakyat. alalay ka lang sa engine brake, kapag puro ka break magbabaga yung preno mo, mangangamoy yan for sure. pero kaya naman.

Idol, Motul Htech 100 10w40 ba yan? experience ko dyan parang OEM Honda LEV lang. not that significant yung effect. tapos mahal pa. 500 per liter yan right? may mas mura na mas maganda.

RP - Royal Treatment yan sa engine. Backread ka idol, check the article on the oil test comparo on timken test. i'll let you be the judge.

yes idol bayen! for me 205/50 "beefy" setup is the way to go.. lalo na sa streets natin. comfy parin kahit dropped na. hehehe!

re oil change, my problem will be if i change oil every 5k/6months (whichever comes first) regularly and i only hit 5k every 6 months, is it worth it to get the RP+Baldwin combo? since i am not using the car regularly. Only use it during the weekends though malayong drive naman every then.

Since you said it is good for 10k for the RP+Baldwin combo, that means i'm gonna change oil only ones a year? is it still advisable/safe?

Lastly, our brother suggested to get RP-HPS instead of the API-SL though it is not available at that time. Yes i am using Motul Htech 10w-40 and i am still observing it. Yes kinda pricey for the performance but that was the only available by that time. I might consider also the 0w-20 OEM oil next time if the HPS is still not available and partner it with the Baldwin Filter since heck it is cheaper by almost 1k

What do you think boss idol master "Mr. Filter" (ayos yung rank mo ah! hahaha)

hehehe! other find the beefy look rugged. to each his own. kanya kanyang taste.
regardless of whether you will change oil evey 6 months, good filtration is good filtration. the only reason i suggest 10,000 to 12,000 or usually 1 year is to make the most of it. sulitin to the bones. hehehe! para hindi ma-under utilize yung filter. safe mileage kasi yung 10,12,000 KM. you can push it to 15,000 pero am not too comfortable with that anymore. pero if you decide 6 months change oil interval, walang kaso yun idol.

I'm currently running on RP + Baldwin combo, plan to run this for a year or 10,000 to 12,00 which ever comes 1st. Its safe, am 100% certain of that. I've seen worst beating on premium oils. Try to do some reading on used oil analysis reports. You would better understand how well made oils are today. Sa used oil analysis kasi makikita mo dun kung gaano pa ka "potent" yung langis after being run for 10, 15, 30,000 KM. The number 1 thing that causes degradation on oil is contaminants, so if you have a good filter, it lessens the contaminant hence extending the life of the oil.

I'm not too particular with either HPS of API-SL, Royal purple is Royal purple.

Not a fan of the 0w20, too thin for me.
knowing my driving style, i sometimes subject my GE to high revs and recing recing mode. kaya w30 is the thinnest that i would go.

so it is safe to say that if i change to rp+baldwin combo, i can change my interval from 5k/6months to 10k/1year whichever comes first? well if that's the case, mas malaki nga matitipid ko.

im just thinking if kunwari 1 year of seldom used, okay parin ba ang oil by then? kasi even if super ganda ang oil+filter pero hindi nagagamit and napapark lang ng matagal, diba may nangyayari parin sa kanya? not sure though...

hope you can help me boss para next oil change / pms, pwede ko na tong gawin

Ouch. Welcome to the club. Nagasgas ng tricycle na nagcounterflow jazz ko, less than 2days old.

Btw for sure void warranty ng electrical nyo sa aftermarket alarm. Not sure where in pampanga, pero dito sa manila, id suggest winterpine araneta ave. Yung ibang brand/casa (afaik mitsu) sila accredited installer. Maselan yung immobilizer.
