I agree with you on this. That's why am also leaning towards modifications just like yours (except for the throttle controller and my ricey europlates, I just can't help it). Heck if I wanted a fast car, I could have gotten another 1.6 or even those in the 2.0 range, but hey, I want something that is compact, fuel efficient, practical and most specially, fun to drive.
IMHO Modifying the GE to go faster defeats the purpose why it was built in the first place.

off yung A/C then just let the blower running 1-2 mins before turning on and turning off. by doing this, the driver will lessen the amount of moisture in the aircon ducts. moisture is the breeding grounds of mildew.
